Hello Luke and thanks for the comments and feedback, great to hear you have the bug too. @MrDazP1adv3ntures4 жыл бұрын
Great stuff SD. I have tried a few boil holes and in general they don't seem to hold on to the gold, or it gets ground into dust. You did well to find some shiny but I guess a 3 footer will have room for things to settle. There is a deep hole on the island there.

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures It's now empty lol. Took about 90 mins to get to the bottom. Not loads, but noticeable pieces, but lots of flour gold. I'm just gonna save all the sands with the flour in all year and process at the end

@@christopheradair2393 Thanks for the info when you put it like that it sounds like a fantastic experience Christopher and if you're getting big nuggets that's the icing on the cake. I cycled the North Coast 500 the other year and was amazed at the geology. I recall a huge gorge on route to Ulllapool on the. ' Destitution Road ' and I tried a few test pans before cycling from Richonich to Thurso. The rocks had thick bands of Black then white then back to black. Stunning. I heard Gairloch is supposed to be good too. It would be great to head up there and have a prospecting holiday in the future.

Hi Mark. He is getting a bit too old to be at the river in the damp and cold these days. He's right beside me now , as we speak though, looking at me wanting to go out for a walk but he's also enjoying the warm sun on his belly having lots of 40 winks .
@markdaven53504 жыл бұрын
Not be down on what you are doing but it is extremely bad practice to disturb a river bed. It’s a crime in most places. Especially at this time of year when young trout and salmon (alevins) are still growing and hatching in the gravel. I would strongly advise not to do what you are doing

It is not all about the gold. It is about loving the great outdoors & what nature puts on display throughout the 4 seasons. The fun & adventures of getting into places & home again. The other like minded people you meet along the way is all gold of a different kind. The gold is just a bonus & an excuse for getting into these beautiful places. Good on you MrDaz. Keep it up & best of luck to you out there. John from New Zealand :)

Yep, I get where you are coming from Michael. I film my sessions at the river. Some days are fantastic and others you're lucky to find a spec. Check this adventure I had last year kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooXNfYWjlM2IjbM. Do you think PioneerPauly finds nuggets on every trip out. Nope .... He will film the good bits and will do several trips to the creek until he can show viewers the big gold. On this occasion I found some gold , one of the most precious metals on the planet and made a film to tell the story. Can I think you for watching and sharing your thoughts.

Hello Ian, first things first, I always reply to my comments, unlike many other Gold prospecting channels on this platform whom are full time "KZbinrs" who constantly ask for your subscriptions and to hit the bell icon so you don't miss any of their content, yet they haven't got the time to reply to all of their viewers. This is just a hobby for me both the gold panning and the editing to tell the story and share the experience for the viewers . I take on board your comments and can recommend a fantastic book written by Lee Gary Palmer MSc called Gold Occurrences in the UK. This has loads of maps, data and public information all collated into one place for the avid prospector to further their research. On this particular river I have chosen to call it the secret river to respect those who have been coming here for years having done their own research on where to find gold in the UK. I also recommend the British Gold Panning Association for any further advice. Kind regards MrDazP1
