Hi.. how to setup on inav if we want the plane fly at certain speed, example if the plane will fly with ground speed / air speed at 45 km/h constantly. thank you for your help
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
At the moment you can’t. The throttle control is based on the cruise throttle.
@dekiaza4 жыл бұрын
@@MrD so we just only use manual throttle is it?
@dekiaza4 жыл бұрын
@@MrD or can we adjust cruise throttle value on inav to keep constantly speed?
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
You would set your cruise throttle based on your cruise speed in to wind. You can add a setting that allows you to increase the cruise with the throttle stick (advance tuning page) and you can also set up an adjustment to allow you to adjust your cruise throttle in flight.

There are a couple of programming tutorial videos at the moment (“Rearm in flight with no blocks or restrictions”, “Automatic rates based on speed”, and the “Ultimate VTx smart power changing” series). But there will be more to come and a general overview. Hopefully the general overview quite soon.

Went from 2.5 to 2.6 now my buzzer on with usb connected....can’t find how to disable?
Darren i found today my loiter mode no longer works since upgrading to 2.6,does it still exist or do I now use navigation pos hold?. Ruth and all other functions work great.
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
Loiter was always called POS HOLD in configurator. It’s just referred to as loiter.

@@MrD Any reason it would stop working since upgrading to 2.6?
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
I haven’t noticed any issues updating from 2.5. If you’re coming from an earlier version, the mode IDs in iNav changed, and you should run your diff through a script on a web site to update it.

Great video! Will the hm-10 BT work with inav? Works with app but I can’t connect to pc?
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
I have a feeling its because the app and PC need different settings. I’m sure I’ve seen a few posts on the iNav Fixed Wing Group about this. It seems to work with one or the other but not both.

nice video but...which gyro_hardware_lpf are best for the wing?? 256HZ or 20HZ
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
It would depend on the vibrations in your model, stiffness of the airframe, mounting of the FC, and how balanced are the props. The minimum should be 42Hz, but the higher the better.
@BrunO-qt6vf4 жыл бұрын
@@MrD ok 42HZ but it wouldn't be too high if the fc matek F405 system mesagge shows gyro_hardware_lpf problem when I set servo autotrim but with the setting 20HZ everything ok
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
If you’re getting issues where you need to drop below 42Hz, you need to look at fixing the physical vibrations on your airframe.

can i copy paste my diff from 2.5 to 2.6?
@MrD3 жыл бұрын
For a plane it should be fine. But, not with a quad. It’s always worth reading the release notes. They will tell you the update processes needed between versions. It is also always worth checking the first release if a new major version, as sometimes the upgrade process documentation isn’t included on minor releases, such as 2.6.1, 2.6.2 etc.

Great video, very informative. Do you have any recommendations for the least expensive equipment to have the following capabilities: - Able to run iNav and program waypoints - OSD (including display of battery voltage & current, & waypoints - RTH I was looking at the Furious FPV F-35 but was wondering if there's a less expensive way to go and still have all those features.
@MrD3 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I’ve always found the F35 to be a little pricey. It’s more expensive because you don’t need to do much soldering, it’s mostly plugs. Pretty much all flight controllers will have the same features. The F35 is just a n F405 based flight controller, just packaged together. On a budget, I would look at the Matek F405-WSE or F405-WING flight controllers. They’re probably around half the cost of the F35, but you will have to solder. Add a Beitian BN-180 or BN-220 GPS and that side is done. You’ll of course need the FPV camera and VTx, but they don’t come with the F35 either. You don’t really need an airspeed sensor at the moment, as it’s only really for data at the moment with iNav. That may change in the future, but the sensor could also be added easily in the future too. You can get cheaper flight controllers, like the Omnibus clones. But to be honest, they’re a bit of a false economy. They need extra BECs for the servos, have less UARTs, and I have found them unreliable.
@ayCarumbaQueLio3 жыл бұрын
I do have a BN-280. Is there a list of F405-WSE/iNav compatible GPS receivers or are the two you listed the only ones? Thank you for the help.
@MrD3 жыл бұрын
The list of supported GPS modules would be huge. The 2 I listed are just cheap and work well. The BN-280 should be fine to.
@ayCarumbaQueLio3 жыл бұрын
Great. So what do you think about the F411-WSE. It will run iNav too, right?
@MrD3 жыл бұрын
It will run iNav. To be honest, it depends what plane you’re looking to put it in. The servo BEC is less that the F405-WSE, and it has less UARTs, for connecting things to the flight controller.

great video as always, i'm going to attempt to update my plane from 2.5.0 to 2.6.0 if i copy over diff. from cli will i still need to setup all the modes again in 2.6.0. Thanks
@MrD3 жыл бұрын
If you're happy with 2.5, I would stick with that for the minute. iNav 3.0 is only about 2 months away, which will be a huge update for fixed wing. With 2.6 from 2.5, the modes would be fine. 2.5 had a reorganising the mode IDs in to permanent IDs, which I why they needed to be changed with the tool. Modes would be the same going forwards. I'm pretty certain that 2.5 to 2.6 can use diff on fixed wing. But it is always worth reading the release notes. They always have the update procedure. These are the release notes from 2.6.1 for reference github.com/iNavFlight/inav/releases/tag/2.6.1
@egtreadway42323 жыл бұрын
Thanks Darren, i have read release notes but seems most of the changes in 2.6 are for quads I'm ok with 2.5 so i will stay there until 3 is released, I did read that google chrome is not recommended for inav so what browser is ?
@MrD3 жыл бұрын
It’s not talking about the browser per se. There used to be a thing called Chrome apps. A few years ago, google announced that they would be stopping the platform. iNav Configurator is/was available as a Chrome app. However, it is not the recommended way of using it. It’s better to use the stand alone application. The easy way to tell is go to the mission planner page. If it works, you are using the stand alone application, and all is well. If it shows a warning message, you are using the Chrome app.
@egtreadway42323 жыл бұрын
That makes sense, I have used Google chrome as default browser for years and with inav with no problems and have played around with mission planner and haven't noticed any problems so it must not be the app. Mike chin of Team blacksheep is looking into the crossfire with yaapu script problem so I'll post his findings. Thanks again

I'm still trying to figure out why when plane gets out there around 1/2 mile today inav telemetry on radio calling out position hold and it looks like on heading plane is loitering, I always engage rth and heading is correct and it comes back to me. I've checked modes and radio switches but everything is like its always been. I feel like this might be a crossfire issue but maybe a inav thing. When this happens crossfire lq is 100% and never above 25mw. What am I missing here? Thanks

Ahh Land only on failsafe would of been helpful!! Nearly lost my Bixler 2 when I landed and the Frysky X8R receiver decided to lose the binding to the transmitter and Failsafe kicked in... but it was on the ground in front of me so I just picked it up to save it taking off!! If I'd lost the FrySky X8R binding during flight.. that would of been interesting with t circling endlessly above!
@MrD4 жыл бұрын
It would have just circled until it ran out of juice to power the motor. If its on 4S, maybe even 3S, it would have just cut the motor and still have power for the flight controller and servos to glide down. You’d just have to wait a while 😄
