Hi, the video was extremely amazing and informative. But I have a question: What is the use of doing this self excitation if a 230 Volt power source is still needed? Shouldn't the objective behind Self excitation be that we can use the alternator as a source of energy? I mean a clean source of energy similar to solar.

Well the 230v source won't be needed if you could run the alternator at 3000rpm to 4000 rpm with wind or hydro energy.

If stream is available then a submerged propeller could be the power source. But bringing the RPMS up to speed is the biggest hurdle. Could gears from say a bicycle ramp up the RPMs???

hello mr electron, i got a question and i think you will know. im looking to build a cheap genearator from parts i have. i have a 50 cc scooter engine 5 altenators and 10 batteries. is it possible to hook up all 5 alternators at the same time to the motor to charge the 10 batteries.? the batteries end power will still be 12v. going into 12v

if current is too high, it might damage the battery. Although, i don't think that a 50 cc engine is powerful enough for the job

By connecting 100 alternators in series / parallel and the output of alternators is connected to step up transformers to increase the voltage from 12 v to 230 v.
