Thank you for posting such amazing and easy to do cocktails! I was wondering if you can substitute Jim Beam for Jack Daniels for these recipes and vice-versa, that is, in your JD cocktails, can I substitute the Jack Daniels for Jim Beam Black and expect the same result?

That whiskey sour didn't incorporate egg whites. Looks like your making these drinks in a Denny's restaurant. Also, use Luxardo cherries. This all kinda hints at a cheesy setup. Maybe check out Steve the Bartender for ideas. 😋

Can you explain to a newbie like me why you use Jim bean over other bourbons like Buffalo trace, makers mark, or Woodford reserve? Are they better to drink neat, too much flavor?
@MrFredenza6 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Manhattan will you definitely taste the bourbon.... I use a better quality...... but when mixing with other Liquors and juices you lose the flavor profile of the bourbon. Plus cost plays a factor when mixing drinks. Thanks again.
@jime3867 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking it might be because of the reaction between the copper and the ginger beer. I do not know the chemistry... I was just thinking about it. I do know that a "Mule" tastes different in glass. Not worse, just different
@MrFredenza7 жыл бұрын
Tough question: In short it’s because the mug keeps the drink colder longer without needing as much ice but also because the acidic lime juice tastes a lot more sharp and crisp against the metal cup compared to a traditional pint glass. Glass just doesn’t feel as cold copper and it doesn’t make the lime bite as much either.
@jime3867 жыл бұрын
Hey, man, I appreciate the analysis from one who should know. I cannot figure it out either, but I am guessing that it has something to to with the metal and the reaction

And our H2O is loaded with minerals, but no flouride and minimal chlorine. My tiny town can barely afford to spend the money on the RDA of chlorine

Mr Fred, I just tried your Midori margarita and it’s DELICIOUS 😋😂😂😂😂😂!!! Thank you for the ingredients for the Mexican Flag, but you didn’t add the amount per items, ( grenadine/tequila/green cream menthe???🤔🤔🤔
@MrFredenza4 жыл бұрын
Lol....sorry.... I would use 1/2oz of each....layered in this order....grenadine, silver tequila & green creme de menth! Let me know how it goes!!!

Mr.Fred, it’s me again 😁. About The Mexican Flag recipe that you sent me, (1/2 oz grenadine,1/2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz Green cream ment). It seems like something is missing, because 1/2 oz of each doesn’t fill the glass. Is the answer to this query as simple as increasing the amount of ingredients??🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️

Hey Fred, Sry I haven't been watching so much. I will try catching up. Lappy is not being very cooperative for a while and I am too dang poor to buy a new one. Keep posting and I will remain subbed. Btw, is a copper mug essential in a Moscow Mule?
Great question. Technically you stir martinis and manhattans. This is for the clarity of the drink. These days most people ordering the drink in my area want them ice cold....so the shake. Thanks for watching!!!

A whiskey sour is simplecsyrup, lemon juice, whiskey, and an egg white. Garnish with bitters. Sour mix is an abomination.

I agree. If I got served that as a whiskey sour, it would be sent back immediately. Rocks or e en a coupe glass, never a pint glass.

Isn't a Whiskey Sour with orange juice added called a Stone Sour?Thanks for doing a proper Manhattan! I hate to see such a good cocktail butchered. Nothing wrong with variations, but they should be listed as such IMO.
@MrFredenza7 жыл бұрын
Actually YES!!! But its normally a 50/50 mix of OJ & sweet & sour. NICE JOB!! I didn't call it a stone sour due to the ratio. But technically it can be called that!!!!
