Hey listen, i believe there is a pretty big chance of old graphics, weapon models, sound effects and etc to return. You see, epic games was scared to change things back because new players might not like it, but now that it is a separate mode , they can freely bring old thing back. Also they didn't think season OG would be so successful, thats why they didn't put any effort in it. But considering they have been making this for a whole year and also know that it is successful, there is a pretty big chance that they make it feel and play like actual chapter 1. At least i hope so, if they do this it's going to be a huge success and OG's will be happy. (Sorry for bad English)

If we take a look at reload, the designers of that map have been able to create entirely new locations in the old chapter 1 style. So we have seen that they can create NEW content in the old style, therefore they should have zero excuse on making sure that OG has the same graphics, models, sounds, and UI elements. There are a couple of really good chapter 1 map remakes in creative that use the old UI, skybox, and even have custom quest pop ups. The tools for creative are still limited as you can’t add your own models or anything yet. But if we are able to make a more faithful remake as a community than fortnite can ill be pissed. They had an entire YEAR to work on EASY fixes like the UI, models etc. There’s absolutely no fucking excuse to not include them in the game.

If they want to use the excuse that chapter 1 is back and these seasons are back therefore we can sell the old BP’s then they can at least provide an accurate experience that is the exact same that we had back then. I would also love to see live events after each season. It would be cool asf and would actually increase hype and player count since people who never got to see them would be able to experience it. I also think adding NEW events would also be really cool (never gonna happen cuz epic is lazy) but being able to see the comet hit dusty and cause the big crater, watch the cube actually lift the loot lake house up from the air, etc. (any big map change that came from downtime or a cutscene)

You're using the term lazy wrong. Epic games isn't lazy they just lack clear direction. They push out new content weekly along with new cosmetics and stuff like that. What you want to see in the game hasn't happened doesn't correlate to laziness. Lazy is if let's say there were no updates for a year and released no cosmetics at all during that time because that means they are unwilling to put any effort in the game. Just because epic is updating the game to YOUR specific standards doesn't mean what they are doing now doesn't take any effort or time to do.

No old Weapon Models and sounds, no old Storm, the Ocean was just normal swimmable Water with a death zone above it and not the og Water, the trees looked strange and some errors on the map like 2 exact same barns in Fatal fields and the missing terrain bridge at the desert. And they didn't even try with kevin the cube, like it didn't move around the map and the Kevin island was just a creative asset because when you shot at it, it didn't send you flying with the kevin lightning

I have an idea for a compromise that could keep the OG feel and keep the game balanced, make the sword and other controversial features LTMs, that way people who want the OG feel get what they want, whilst people who don't want to be shredded by an OP sword can just not play with it enabled.

Also really hope they bring back old battle passes, og would be complete if we could experience it exactly the way it was. Plus, we need the good old skins, I don’t want to spend a penny on any of the new content, but I would for sure buy the old passes and the Renegade Raider, and I’m sure a lot of returning ogs would feel the same. It would make Epic a lot of money, and most of the fans very happy.

I love all the ideas that you, and pretty much every OG player has. I’d give anything to have stuff back the way it was. I think the only way of doing it would be to create a completely different game within the Epic launcher. That way they can completely separate OG and current Fortnite. I know this is completely unrealistic, but it kinda makes sense. The OG game would cycle through each season, have the old style graphics/sounds/mechanics, and have the old style lobby. The other game would be Fortnite what it is right now. Really looking forward to how they’re going to implement OG into the current game, and see if it holds up!

I disagree, especially with the continued support of no builds. The current movement is needed for no builds, and no builds will be needed to bring back the nostalgic older crowd that has not played in a while. Very few returning players will want to put in the time to re-learn how to build, and no sprinting/mantling/sliding will kill no builds by making it incredibly unbalanced.

Honestly I think they will not replicate it perfectly as then it’s more of a novelty and not something to play a lot. Thing is it will return and goes on loop. Also some stuff like chest dropping loot after being destroyed is a new thing that should not be removed as everyone can agree that is better.

Well, I do understand what you’re trying to get at however, I do think that they need to make sure every season is properly balanced in order to maintain the player base that OG is going to get back. The biggest example being season nine and 10 if they stay as true to these seasons as possible, they will be the least fun season to play by a lot. The meta-was super unbalanced. The map was awful and Not fun. I think, allowing epic to go back to the seasons and rebalance them instead of staying true to how they actually were allows them to fully realize the potential of the seasons.

Since they are adding an OG game mode they should just release the battle passes with it. Make it cost the same, have the same rewards, and the same grind that everyone else had😂 I’ve been playing since the beta version but haven’t bought all the battle passes especially in the beginning but have most of them and I think 7 years is enough gate keeping time😅 If each season of ch 1 will be a month long I’m not sure they will do this since that’s not enough time, but I kinda wish they made the seasons the exact same amount of time, same weapons and map and movement and just let everyone earn the battle pass rewards from old seasons the same way everyone else did. It would technically be harder if you wanted to also play ch 6 and earn those rewards, but still give people a chance at least😢 Epic would make so much off of doing this since everyone would be playing more and looking at the item shop everyday and I personally don’t see a problem, I think it’s better than just reselling skins we had to grind for in the shop🤷🏼‍♀️ Or at least allow trading! There are so many skins I don’t care about I know others want, and some I missed.

I think the graphics should not be reverted. Like the graphics going backwards is stupid as people now a days need the best graphics. Also it’s better to have consistency between all modes and yes it is og but it makes no sense to keep the mode as was. The thing is I don’t think people complained about the sound effects and all joe being the same. Like it not being exactly as is is just a stupid thing. I liked chapter 1 but man the chapter 2 graphics and all were better. Also the sword can return now due to the skill level increasing and the sword not being that strong now. Also there doesn’t need to be event again but keep the changes like destroyed tilted. Also double pump should not return as it was unbalanced and it was a bug not a feature. Also if it’s exact people won’t play it more than once as it is just worse due to no mantling. Also one huge issue is that back then chest would not drop lot when it and the support is destroyed. That being made as it is now is better. I get it’s not og but the people who want tot exactly as is are a minority. Also the chest loot drop is better as it was annoying. I think everyone was annoyed by that. Also the thing is that og is permanent making it exactly as is would make it a complete novelty. It being updated makes it better and have more longevity.
