I used to believe that Besmenov was just warning us. Now I'm starting to see things from a different perspective. PLEASE HERE ME OUT!!! I believe EVERYTHING Besmenov has ever said regarding psychological subversion - what I no longer believe is that he became disillusioned with the KGB agenda and defected - and came here to warn us (like he said he did). Instead I believe he stuck to his Marxist mission until the day he died. Besmenov said that the aim of the KGB was to destroy all that was good and strong about the enemy country - in the case of the US it was capitalist, Judeo-Christian culture - our western ideas of reality. The KGB did so with their four step process of demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and normalization. BUT the KGB agents ALSO knew that if ALL people in the enemy countries were on board with Marxism, the enemy country would NOT FALL - it would just become a Marxist country - a potential rival! The ultimate goal of psychological warfare, instead, was to WEAKEN the enemy country so that it would DESTROY itself. So AFTER the agents covertly and sympathetically introduced "Marxist ideology" into the enemy country, what they THEN had to do was OVERTLY RAISE THE ALARM AGAINST IT - this was PART AND PARCEL OF THE FOUR-STEP PROCESS. They pretended to be defectors, made themselves sympathetic to the enemy population - in other words, they blatantly made the people in the enemy country aware of what Russia was doing - to intentionally create anger AGAINST THE THREAT OF MARXISM. (Besmenov did this by teaching classes, taking interviews and writing articles as a journalist). In doing so, KGB agents ensured that there would be two strong, opposing sides in the enemy country that would fight against each other until the country destroyed itself. Only by making sure that there were two opposing sides, would the enemy country surely collapse. THAT’S WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW IN THE US. But Soviet Russia no longer exists (I think . . . lol). Anyway, that's not the point anymore - what the KGB agents set in motion decades ago worked - it actually began to work long before the Soviet Union "fell." It's hard to stop the results of psychological warfare once it is set in motion. Now because of it America is falling - and we are exposed to OTHER modern-day powers - Globalism, Islam, China . . . could Russia still be in the picture? DO we still have time to reverse this? I wonder. I hope.
