I am a fan of Five Guys...no doubt a bit more expensive than most fast food places but they are generous with their fries and they let you customize your burgers however you want. Their stuff is always fresh.

Five Guys is my favorite burgers, and DEFINITELY my favorite fries, hands down!!! Sorry your experience was less than it should have been. That hurts my heart. :/ I like sitting in the restaurant and eating all the roasted peanuts while waiting on my order, as well.

Yeah, the beef sourced in TX at least has a good flavor to it and they don't squeeze the grease out of them so they drip and have tons of flavor. Plus, you really shouldn't just throw everything on there. Best to customize.

LOVE this! That was the sweetest little, "Bless you, daddy" ever! Miss Elana has graduated from her high chair to a booster seat. Such a big girl. :) Love that Foosa joined the video. She's a beautiful cat. :) I've not been to Five Guys. I've driven past them about 3,000 times, but never stopped to order. But now I kind of want to get one of those bacon and cheese hot dogs, and some fries. As for milkshake, my favorite shake flavor is plain peanut butter (fast food chain Cook Out serves an excellent peanut butter milkshake).

From Texas myself. Did my traveling in the UK last year. I tried the Five Guys in Portsmouth. the burgers were good, the staff was absolutely friendly, and the ambience was top-notch. It made me feel at home.

This has been the experience of my family and friends. Strangely, the first time, I adored the burger, but every other time been disappointed with them. Fries dogs and shakes are outstanding. For burgers, I still prefer Whataburger.

Mrs H: When you have multiple children, you always let one cut the hot dog in half, but then the other gets to select which side they want first. It eliminates the Mr. H. miscalculation cut problem. Just an FYI.

I work at Five Guys in Utah, and I'll tell you, our main selling point are definitely the fries. One of the reasons why the prices are so high, is that nearly everything that can be is either, as fresh as can be or made to order (cooked when ordered). The menu is also standard to the brand, as close as possible to the same throughout the company.

I'm also in Utah, not working for Five Guys, and with the selection in this state....Five Guys ends up getting a field promotion out of fast food into whatever category is just above fast food....A dive? I just know there's not a huge selection here so the range to choose from and the prices available compared to options and availability, Five Guys isn't as bad as people always complain it is. It's no McDonalds dollar menu, but that's kind of the point. It's supposed to be better than that and it is.

I work at a Five Guys in Alabama. Everything is fresh, never frozen, no freezer in the restaurant at all. Just to let you know, there is no seasoning on the burger patties at all.

Five Guys started in Arlington, VA just outside Washington, DC. They initially expanded around the DC area in the late 90s and early 2000s at the same time the 'better burger' places were becoming popular. Their expansion has absolutely exploded over the last 20 years.

I've not had it often, but have been disappointed in their burgers when I've had them. Bland, boring, expensive. I've yet to find fast food burgers that are anywhere near the magnificence of the burgers my dad made for us growing up. Their fries though....🤤 Delicious

We used to have a place called Back Yard Burgers, near my old workplace. That was the best fast food burgers I ever tasted. They really did taste like home grilled burgers. Sadly, last time I went back to that city, they had closed down. That place(Anniston, AL) is kinda a dying town. It's neighboring town, Oxford seems to be growing though, as an Interstate town.

I don’t like 5 Guys. They can easily make portions and prices half. Burgers are too large and greasy for me. Buns are always soggy. There are too many better burger places here to go to them. In the US, our 5 Guys have bins of peanuts in the stores for you to shell and eat while you wait for your order. I wonder if they do that in the UK.

I go to Five Guys in NYC about once every 2 weeks. It's satisfying and substantial (and costs it) ... but the burgers "hum" and do not "sing". In the price range, the alternative is Shake Shack.

I suggest you make a Patty Melt. It is Texas Toast or Rye Bread, my preference, buttered, your cheese burger, grilled onions, mushrooms, 1000 Island dressing (traditional), or a spicy brown mustard. Build the sandwich, just use a griddle or grill pan and grill on both sides. Enjoy!

I enjoy Five Guys, but don’t go there often because of the high price. To me most fast food in the USA is very inconsistent. Sometimes great, sometimes cold and awful, but most times it is somewhere in between. I’m just happy if they get my order right. It’s a real crap shoot.

I freaking LOVE FIVE GUYS food! I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered there. I get a standard burger deluxe (lettuce, tomatoes, onions & pickles W/double the toppings. W/mayo, mustard & A-1. & of course the Cajun FF! Try A-1 on the burgers W/mayo & mustard. I cant complain about the price, because I use to eat there quite a bit. But, a Whataburger #2 double patty combo is $12.79 vs $15+ just the burger from Five Guys, no fries or drink included LoL. Also, i dont like how the wrapper makes the bread a little soggy from the heat at Five Guys. Just my two cents.

I like 5 Guys .. i usually order the "little cheeseburger (all the way) : though because the regular big cheeseburger is really messy to eat but it is good. :) it is on the pricey side of fast food .. Does the UK 5 Guys have all you can drink soda from the machine? No I have not tried the bacon milkshake! lol I do like their hotdogs also but I do not like having to pay that much for a hotdog unless it is famously good like Nathans hot dogs in New York or a Sonoran style (mexican style) hot dog from southwest usa Sweet and savory together is an acquired taste that is popular here in the USA> Not my cup of tea though. At the Ohio state Fair you can get a Krispy Kreme donut cheeseburger with the donuts being the burger buns! EEEEKKKK!

Yes it's a bit more expensive but the food is fresh and the fries are hand cut. I go for the little burgers (single patty) and find it's plenty enough. Two little burgers and a regular fry feeds two people well and is more reasonable. I like the assortment of toppings as well. Compared to the true fast food places (McDonalds, Burgers King, Wendy's) I'd pay a little more for Five Guys.

My family seems to prefer In-N-Out as far as burger, fries, and shakes made to order. Admittedly 5 guys have more complexity options on toppings or flavors. The off menu stuff is really good at in-n-out. Shake Shack is another comparable chain with perhaps the best desserts of the 3.

I am NOT a fan of Five Guys. First they are too expensive and I don’t think they cook their fries enough. I always throw the fries in the oven to cook longer. I like crunchy fries, not limpy fries. The one thing I do like from them is their BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich). That is good. But I could leave them. I don’t know what all the hype is.

I like Five Guys but they are a bit pricey. That may be why the chain is struggling to stay afloat. Here in South Dallas out local FG is a bit cheaper than what you paid. Anywhere from $2-$4 less per menu item. I really like your videos. Keep them coming.

The ground beef in the UK may be different from the States. We lots of local grow beef in the Mountain Time Zone. Compare to the beef from other burger places.

Im curious if they didn't season the patties at your Five Guys. I know they're made fresh, so for the patty to be bland like that, they may not have seasoned. I personally love them, but i will agree they are overpriced. I have to be in the mood for a massive smash burger and their fries specifically before i go there. I would say In n Out, Whataburger, Sonic, and Culvers are just as good, and far more reasonable on price.

The burgers at Five Guys are pretty good over here, but they are a bit pricey. The hot dogs are *definitely* the better option to go with in my opinion. You can't go wrong with a bacon cheese dog and some fries. I'm fine with either of the fries, although I actually think I prefer the regular if I had to choose. Milkshakes are decent. I'd go with the strawberries mixed in. But as a whole I don't frequent this chain regularly because it's expensive. If it's just me and I want a quick bite then it's not too bad, but this is definitely not the place to go to if you're grabbing lunch or dinner for a family because it's not family friendly in terms of price. Love the extra fries though, I'll give them that.

When I had different work hours I once ordered some Five Guys online to pick up on the way to work so I could eat before I started that day. When I walked in there was no one in the front. I wasn't sure what to do, but I waited around. Soon they came out from the back, and they were all apologetic because the clock had stopped out back while they were prepping and they didn't realize anyone was there. They fixed up my food for me and the manager wrote on the receipt that I could use it as a coupon for a free meal. I used it the next day so I wouldn't lose it. I didn't order ahead because off the coupon but when I walked in the manager was out front and recognized me. There was no problem with redeeming my free food. He was still apologizing for the previous day. Normally I wouldn't have had food from there two days in a row, more of a once a month or so thing, but with the coupon I figured why not. I LOVE their bacon cheeseburgers with only mayo on them.

I love Five Guys. Very expensive though so I rarely go there, but when I do it's always a burger with mushrooms and extra A-1 sauce and a tiny fry, which is enough fried to feed a wedding. Their hotdogs are really good. In the restaurant they have bottles of malt vinegar to sprinkle on them. Yumm!

Went to Five Guys once and never went back. Hated the sacks of potatoes sitting everywhere, nothing special about the burgers, and although you get a lot of fries, those weren't that great either - kind of underdone and soggy.
