@@mildredpierce4506I understand what you mean. I watched a couple make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich incorrectly and they both looked a bit nauseated by the whole experience. Also watched the NZedders make their second year of Thanksgiving dinner with a slimy under-cooked turkey bottom because they didn’t want to turn it over in the roasting pan and they substituted kavas for yams because they thought they were the same veg. Ms H is head and shoulders above, simply because she can follow a recipe, instructions and advice.

In an argument with his sister. Hubby was asking her to try not to swear as much around our little boy. She said it's not like he's a sponge. Just sitting there absorbing everything he sees and hears!? 🤨🤷 Hubby said, What! Of course he is! How do you think kids REALLY learn how to talk? By listening and hearing everything and everyone around them. We weren't saying don't swear. Just to try not saying the F word every other word. There are other words in the dictionary. Even other swear words. Lol She refused because "kids especially toddlers are not sponges".

Mrs. H, please stop putting yourself down and/or stop listening to comments that say you can't cook. Just the fact you are attempting these recipes on social media and doing a pretty good job means you can cook. The one thing you should learn is that the U.S. does not have a strict cooking code. You can go to the same same city, same street, two houses side by side and they will probably make the same dish differently. It is why the U.S. is called a melting pot.

It's a different style, but I almost always split hoagies and sub rolls from the top in a Y shape inside. I find rolls cut from the side fall apart easily. Oftentimes meatball subs have the meatballs cut in half, so they don't slide around and are easier to eat.
@cindymatthewsarrowdalearts64499 ай бұрын
"We're not cooks." Horse puckey! You cook, you enjoy it and you eat and enjoy it all over again. That's called cooking which makes you cooks! I've always made my own meatballs. I grew up with home grown cattle and when butchering time came, a good quarter of that beef was ground to hamburger. We had a couple of vats in which we'd mix together 25 lbs of hamburger at a time with onions and garlic (did your meatballs have garlic? A good meatball needs a hefty waft of garlic!) And we always put a large can of "shaker cheese," (shredded parmesan) into it, and then italian style breadcrumbs and eggs. Then it was my job to reach into that almost freezing cold beef and start mixing it all together by hand. With 25lbs of beef, I'd be in it almost up to my elbows! From that we'd make dozens of meatballs, lay them out on cookie sheets and put them in one of the five upright freezers in my parents' house to get them to set up so when we packaged them for long term freezer storage, they wouldn't lose shape and/or stick together. We'd do another larger vat of ground beef to make a dozen or more 2 lb meatloaves to have in the freezer, too. And the rest we'd make into 1 or 2 lb blocks to freeze for chili or hamburg barbecue or meat sauce for spaghetti, etc. And another whole pile would be shaped into patties, layered with squares of freezer wrap and frozen in a stack of 6 or 8 for having hamburgers. After handling icy cold beef for hours my hands would be aching but there was such satisfaction in knowing we were set for winter for beef. And of course there were the roasts and steaks and soup bones to freeze as well. I do not miss that work, but I do miss the great tasting beef. Putting mozzarella in the center is a great idea. And Mr H, please, is there ever such a thing as too much cheese? Pulleeze! We made our pasta and marinara sauce in those same giant vats, btw, and canned them for later use. :) From Pennsylvania...

One of my friends took me to this place and was telling me about their meatball subs, so I decided to try it. The meatballs were about the size of a baseball and it was delicious! Boy, those look good! Bravo all around, you all looked very happy! And Mrs. H, you're a cook by now, trust us. When we're drooling here on the other side of the monitor, that's your proof of the pudding. 😁 I'll be making a double batch of marinara sauce myself today. Part of it will be be for spaghetti sauce. I use the same sauce for lasagna, and tomorrow I'll make a couple big pans of my 4-cheese lasagna. One for my freezer, one for a friend's family. I use 13"X11" foil pans, and layer the pans as deep as I can get. Something around 5 layers. 😄 The pans have to be put on a cookie tray or they'll collapse. Mozzarella, Parmesan, extra sharp Cheddar, and small curd cottage cheese. (Because Ricotta is expensive, and too dry for me.) I put everything but the kitchen sink in the sauce; a traditional Italian chef would have a fit, LOL. Bad enough I use marinara instead of bechamel, but all those extras?! (I *like* mushrooms, mushroom powder, tomato paste, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and lots of wine and bay leaves and dry onon-mushroom soup mix, etc., etc.; it tastes good!) I'm going to be soo tired, but boy, will my freezer be full.

(I am a cheese lover, keep that in mind) in high school in the winter, since i had access to a microwave, i would pack ( all seperately) 2 6 inch rolls, 10 meatballs, 4 slices of provolone cheese, and a little bit of grated parmesan cheese. Cut roll into half, not all the way through tho about 2/3's of the way through. one slice of provolone, 4-5 meat balls depending on the size of the meatballs. Then I would sprinkle the parmesan cheese and another provolone slice on top. That is the way I grew up with it in my household. Home made meatballs will always be better than store bought, provolone has a good cheese pull. I grew up with busy parents, we would put the crock pot on around 8am and do meatalls filled almost to the top, then a whole bottle of marinara sauce, mix it up and let it sit till like 2pm and you have yourself dinner and leftovers. Love this video!!! I grew up eating this all the time and still eat it all the time.
