Hello Mr & Mrs H ( and Miss Baby👶 H too!) The sandwich the "Gyro" is usually made with Lamb, but can ALSO be made with Chicken or Beef. Yours was probably made with Arbys Beef..noit Lamb. now that Beef is seasoned to taste similar to the way Lamb is seasoned when used in a Gyro! . BTW..most people do pronounce it "GEAR-ROE" but as it is a Greek Invention I have heard some Greeks friends say it's actually pronounced "YEER-ROE"! Enjoy!!

@LordLOC8 ай бұрын
@@leafiiloran The thing is though, it is nasty most of the time. Their "meat" depending on the sandwich you get, is cooked/reheated 3 times. They sous vide a lot of their stuff these days, then it either gets reheated/cooked on a flat top or whatever they use or the microwave again. Most of the time that just leads to a horrible, dry, void of flavor pile of mush. If you get lucky and get one that's been cooked decently and not overcooked - yeah it can be tasty. But their curly fries are incredibly good, I'll give them that. Though I still think they don't touch Checker's fries. Those fries are just top tier fast food fries lol

Stage Deli in Manhattan, near Penn Station, had that mastered ... but they're out of business now. I also love a cold Reuben with cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. Reuben: What a sandwich masterpiece! At Arby's, though, I always enjoyed the TURKEY sandwich with extra Horsey, but I usually only had coupons for their processed-beef-food sandwich options. Even before fast food prices went sky-high, we folks living below the poverty level had to be careful with our dining-out splurges.

I’ve commented this before, but I have a son the exact same age as Alana and have been watching for years. It’s almost like I’ve watched them grow up together. Its been really fun. My son can count to 40 and is working on reading but has nothing on Alana’s social skills. It makes me wonder if I’m doing something wrong. Whether it’s content creation or child rearing, y’all are doing great; this person whose opinion means nothing is proud of y’all and what y’all’ve built for yourselves

I want arby's now! I tried to show my wife, and she stopped me and said no, dont tease me. She is an arby's fanatic! Haha I always go with the beef and cheddar, but now i wanna try the reubon. When i was younger i didnt really like reubons, but i think i would now that my taste has evolved.

An Arby's Ruben sandwich is more of a fast food version of a Ruben. To get a real Ruben sandwich in America I would recommend going to a local Mom and Pop type of Jewish deli. A real deli Ruben is probably the best.

IT'S THE BEAUTIFUL BRITISH FAMILY WITH THE MOST WONDERFUL DAUGHTER IN THE WORLD!!!! ❤❤❤. ALL THREE OF YOU(S, CHICAGO LANGUAGE, MY DAD AND RELATIVES SAY "YOUS", 😂😅😊) NEVER HAVE A TERRIBLE WORD TO SAY ABOUT AMERICA, THE RESIDENTS OR OUR COOKING. YOU ARE TOO KIND. IT'S BEEN AGES, BUT I'VE PATRONIZED ARBY'S. SOMETHING IN THE SAUCES GAVE ME HORRIBLE HEARTBURN. THAT WAS PRIOR TO ME KNOWING I HAD FOOD ALLERGIES TO NEARLY EVERYTHING! I THINK THE HORSEY SAUCE MAY HAVE CONTAINED EGGS AND THAT IS MY NUMBER ONE ALLERGY. I LOVED THE HORSEY SAUCE AND I LIKE EGGS. CORN IS ANOTHER AND THE REGULAR SAUCE PROBABLY HAD CORN SYRUP IN IT. SO, I'VE NOT BEEN TO AN ARBY'S IN A VERY LONG TIME. THE CURLY FRIES LOOKED GREAT (DEEP FRIED IN SOYBEAN OIL, ANOTHER FOOD ALLERGY, SOYBEANS). AS DO THE SANDWICHES (ALLERGIC TO WHEAT, THE BREAD). DOESN'T A PROPER REUBEN SANDWICH HAVE SAUERKRAUT IN IT? MY EX HUSBAND ORDERED IT AT A RESTAURANT AND I REMEMBERED IT HAVING SAUERKRAUT IN IT. IT SMELLED SO WRETCHED. THE MELTED SWISS CHEESE. COLD SWISS CHEESE DOESN'T GIVE OFF THE AROMA, BUT HOT SWISS CHEESE DOES. I MOVED TO ANOTHER TABLE. I COULDN'T STAND THE AROMA OF MELTED SWISS. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE SICK. I KNOW... I TRIED TO STOMACH IT, BUT I COULDN'T. ELANA IS SUCH A FANTASTIC CHILD. SHE IS BOLD AND WILL TRY ALL FOODS. I CAN'T SAY THAT ABOUT A LOT OF ADULT AMERICANS, INCLUDING MYSELF. I WENT TO A CHINESE RESTAURANT AND I REALLY THOUGHT I COULD EAT THE TINY WHOLE OCTOPUS, SO I PLACED TWO ON MY PLATE. WHEN I SAT DOWN, MY BOLDNESS LEFT ME. I SAT THERE FOREVER STARING AT THEM TRYING TO MUSTER THE COURAGE TO EAT THEM. I JUST COULDN'T. THEY WERE TOSSED OUT BY THE BUSSER. I STILL FEEL SO GUILTY ABOUT THAT AND IT'S BEEN AGES. I BET ELANA WOULD HAVE AT LEAST TASTED ONE. THAT'S ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS TO TASTE ONE. I COULDN'T GET PAST THE EYES STARING AT ME WITH THE BIG HEAD. WHAT A WASTE. THAT WAS SPECIAL TOO. I'VE NOT SEEN ANOTHER PLACE THAT HAS IT ON THE BUFFET. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF IT WHEN I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY. I LET IT GO PAST ME AND I'LL NEVER GET ANOTHER CHANCE AGAIN. A FORMER CO-WORKER OF MINE BROUGHT IN VENISON. DEER IN OTHER WORDS. SHE MADE A STEW AND PUT IT IN A CROCK POT. IT SMELLED NICE AND THE STEW LOOKED NICE. I ASKED HOW IT TASTED AND EVERYONE SAID "GREAT" AND I WAS URGED TO TRY IT AND THAT I WOULD LOVE IT. SO, I PUT A TINY BIT IN A BOWL. IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST VILE PIECES OF MEAT I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE. IT WAS A TINY CUBE OF THE MOST DENSE, CHEWY UN-FLAVORFUL PIECES OF PROTIEN I'VE EVER HAD IN MY MOUTH. 30 MINUTES LATER I WAS STILL TRYING TO CHEW THE CUBE. I ENDED UP SPITTING IT OUT IN A NAPKIN AND DUMPING THE SMALL BOWL OF STEW IN A BAG AND IN THE TRASH IT WENT. IT WAS SO VILE TO ME. AT LEAST I TRIED IT AND I'M NEVER EATING BAMBI AGAIN EVER FOR THE REST OF MY LIVING DAYS. WHEN ASKED WHAT I THOUGHT, I SAID IT WAS NICE, ESPECIALLY THE STEW PART. I WAS FULL AND I DIDN'T NEED ANY MORE. THE CO-WORKER WAS TRYING TO PAWN IT OFF ON US TO TAKE HOME BECAUSE SHE MADE THE WHOLE DEER. HER HUSBAND SHOT THE DEER AND THERE WAS SO MUCH MEAT FROM THIS KILL. NO THANK YOU. I'LL EAT MY BAKED POTATO WITH A WHOLE LOT OF REAL BUTTER ON IT. I'M NOT ALLERGIC TO WHITE POTATOES AS MUCH AND ZERO TO REAL BUTTER. 😂❤❤❤❤❤.

Arby's has improved tremendously since the early 90s when even the Simpsons dumped on them. " Im soo hungry I could eat at Arby's ".

Still not as good as they were in the 70's and early 80's... I remember when they had a steam thing built into their prep tables. They weighed the meat, put a bun on the table, gave it quick blast of steam and it was then put together so it came to you warm thru and thru.

And the other time they mentioned it in the show was when Marge said, “People do crazy things on TV... like eat at Arby’s!” 🤣

Just a tip the next time you come to the United States and go to Arby’s order a little tub of nacho cheese to drip the curly fries in because they have small plastic containers full of nacho cheese you get to dip your fries in

Arby's is such a mixed bag and hot button topic for a lot of people for some reason. I like the plain roast beef sandwiches with arby sauce and the curly fries are some of the best fast food fries. But that's about all of the food I've eaten there.
