If the engine works. Lay the track out in front of the vehicle, put a track rope on the first link and run the rope over the top rollers and around the sprocket, then use the engine/sprocket as a windlass to pull the track on, when the track gets to the sprocket and has engaged with the sprocket teeth remove the rope continue to drive the sprocket until the track meets the track under the last road wheel. Because both tracks are off you would have to pull the vehicle onto the track. Once one sides on you can move the vehicle onto the other track using the gearbox. I was in the Armoured corps for 23 years and that's how we did it on CVRT, AFV432, Chieftain and Challenger. Just a thought. Keep up the entertaining videos. 👏

That's exactly how we did it on our Cent AVREs and Chieftain AVLBs too. The worst part was joining all the 4 link pieces together and afterwards splitting the old track. Two men could carry 4 links but it was easier with three of you. As we usually had plenty of time it was usually a crew job and if you had somebody who was good with a sledgehammer it didn't take very long either.

I caught this one late as I was catching up on Clarksons farm. Great to see Jack's midget arms back. Top tip for track tension: if you want to tension the left track, slightly neutral turn right and the slack will come to the front, and vice versa. That way you can collect the slack easier with the idler wheel. That's how we did it on chally 2, only we had hydraulic track tension so no hand cranking 👌🏼👍🏼.
