Jeremy Fuchs Swiss car number plates consist of a two letter code for the canton followed by up to 6 numerical digit. GE stands for Geneva. However the cantons crest are never on the front number plates. The number plates on the G class are fake .. . Btw i live in switzerland as well.

Hard to believe those are 23 inch wheels, cause they look so small on that thing :) Sounds fantastic, as all Mercedes do these days with that V8! I guess you've seen that C63 AMG by Manhart, wow, what a sound, that for me is even better than N/A V10 or V12, what a meaty bass rumble, I like it more than screaming engines :)

I don't quite get the G Wagon, but whenever I see one, I always give it a second take, there is something about it, but I wouldn't want one, its a weird mystery is the mighty G Wagon...its kinda like Germanys answer to the Hummer, again another vehicle that is cool to behold, but I don't desire... I live in Doha, and the standard G63 is two a penny. Here the one all the rich kids are buying is the G63 Squared which is simply awesome and takes the whole offroad genre to a different level - they sell here for a cool QR 1.2 million (thats about £280,000-00) and are special order at the local MB dealer (currently there are at least 7 of them in PDI as of today). I own both a Ford Expedition with the 5.4 litre V8 and Land Rover LR3 (the Discovery) with the 4.4 litre V8 and both are excellent 'tools' - essential 4x4's for the work I do and places I have to go - but the desire to lash out the kind of dough required to park even a standard G63 in my driveway is sometimes hard to resist. I know all you guys like to head to Dubai to see the latest supercars - but you really need to think about Doha - the number of out-and-out petrolheads among the local Qatari blokes is sensational and most of them have at least half a dozen tucked away for evening cruises - as well as the obligatory 5.7 V8 Land Cruiser or Lexus LX570 (some of which are Supercharged!!) As always - great content and the excitement that comes across in your posts is irresistible. Keep up the great work.

There is no good reason to buy any G class at the moment, because the new G is coming soon. It will have all that new Mercedes stuff from S and E class and thats gonna make it a way better car. So the only reason to buy one now is eventual really good offer from the dealer.

They are a cool car, but let's be honest there's no way the money is justifiable compared to a SVR RR or a Bentayga. Hell,, might as well go to the nearest Rolls-Royce dealer and put a deposit down on a Cullinan. Still, there is something cool about it and the fact that Mercedes continue to build and update them after all these years.
