He is a living legend..... not many can still sing like that in their 70's...he is truly incredible. Love his talent.
@pastorofmuppets133 жыл бұрын
Steven has a whole bag full of vocal, performance, and life-related "Tyler-isms". The breathing thing, some specific screams he does, the scarves on the mic stand, and many stage mannerisms that are his alone. Off stage he is also a trip - he is 73 now and just always seems to have more fun than anybody else.
@houkikker1363 жыл бұрын
The one thing wrong in your statement is about the scarfs, that was a common thing, because they were used as a static barrier to protect from being shocked from their sweaty hands grabbing the mic stand, because in those days most mics where still hard wired and they could get a static charge. That look became such a popular thing, that many of the singers in the eights even left them on the mic stand during their non-live videos.

He was born with massive vocal chords and he learned how to truly sing, how to pump air up from his lungs and how to switch from chest voice to head voice seamlessly. Incredible singing, even if a young man sung it, never mind someone in their 70's.

Nine lives tour we kept calling out to Steven and he got on the ramp and was singing right in front of us , looking at us smiling . Such a good soul we could have reached out and touched him but he walked down that ramp for us and I didn't want him to walk away because we were invading his space but when the song was over he winked and smiled at us he even threw one of his scarfs from his microphone to my daughter who was like 17 but someone else caught it and he got someone to get it and give it to my daughter she is 38 now and keeps it draped over her bedroom mirror. Very sweet❤️

Aerosmith are the greatest rock band in my opinion i have seen them live twice and they were out of this world. They had the main stage, but also a smaller one that was way back in the middle of the park so not just the people in the seats got very close to the band, they go the extra mile and put on unforgettable concerts. God bless Aerosmith and the STILL handsome 73 year old Steven Tyler.

He did not lose his voice but age changes it. The fact that he can still hit the high notes and still hit that scream, is more than most. So many fun songs. Serious songs, sexy songs. They started in the 70s…. Keep exploring them over time, some older, some recent. It’s all good.

Oh…this song!! My husband and I renewed our vows with a full ceremony and reception for our tenth wedding anniversary. It was perfect! This is our song, our first dance at the reception. We poured over our music library for weeks: contemporary, vintage, classic, every genre, style, everything. I found this one and knew perfection when I heard it. After ten years, we were still obsessed with one another in a way this song perfectly represents. Seventeen years after that dance, this song still gives me goosebumps. Twenty-seven years in and so many blessings, challenges, and enduring commitment. A songs meaning will evolve over time, with experience. Sorry, got lost in the memory. Oh….this song…

The song got a huge bump from its placing in Armageddon, which worldwide was the top-grossing film of 1998. The movie starred Steven Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler. U2 were originally asked to perform this song for the movie - the idea for Aerosmith performing it only came after Liv was cast. A grand production featuring a 52-piece orchestra, this was by far Aerosmith's biggest hit on the US Hot 100, and their only chart-topper. It was #1 US for four weeks in September 1998, becoming one of the most popular songs of the year.

I've been listening to Aerosmith for a couple of decades. I'm going to be 50 this year and I've been listening to them since my early teens. the breathing he does is an emotional response, I'm not even sure he's aware he's doing it. It's similar to how Evils Prestly used to move on stage, it was because he was raised Pentecostal and the music moved him, according to a live interview I saw of him.

When the dj announced it we were in the center of the dance floor and everyone knew us so all eyes went to us and everyone backed away making a circle and i took her in my arms as she buried her face in my chest due to how red her face was from being in the spotlight and we started dancing as everyone clapped then slowly more ppl joined in slow dancing with us. Lots of partying and most of the bands back then really partied hard and it really shows in many of them that managed to survive it physically, mentally and vocally. Steven Tyler dropped onto the country music scene a year or two ago. It shocked the heck out of me!
