I think it's awesome how PTX "dialed it back" to highlight Dolly's part. They did a lot of the arrangement to feature her primarily, which shows how humble the group is. It worked so well that Dolly and PTX were awarded the Grammy award for best collaboration that year. That was the first Grammy Dolly Parton ever earned for her iconic and world-famous "Jolene" song.

I believe it was her first which is unfathomable to me. Last I heard, Avi still had his Grammy's in a box in storage. When asked if he would ever put them on display in his living room, he said probably not. Said he might eventually put them in a room no one sees but was not going to gloat or be pretentious about them.

@@pamscarr8696 I don't think anybody thought they were going to get a Grammy for country duo performance. Nobody was there to accept and the host had to come back and say basically that they would be sent to all of them. As for Avi not displaying awards that is in character for him. Avi is Jewish. He actually follows those teachings more than most people do and as with alot of philosophy it can be hard to understand which means it makes him hard to understand as well. Anavah, humility, being a humble person, is a very important first principle so that he can ask questions when he does not understand without being either defensive or arrogant allowing him to learn. Humility, as a mindset , protects from errors in observation and moral judgment. If an individual is convinced of the depth of his or her own abilities and intelligence there is very little room for learning and growth. Humility allows for personal development. It is called anavah but it should not lead one to belittle oneself. Even in the quest for humility, there needs to be a balance with self-esteem and confidence. So he can be a fabulous and accomplished artist at the same time as he avoids arrogance, anger and the blindness that can lead to. It is a good thing he is so principled too because his voice can draw in and command others. Charismatic.

Dolly Parton is one of those genuinely good people. She has a foundation that sends out free children's books to kids from Birth to age 5 from her Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. All a parent needs to do is to send her a letter or sign up on her website. Last year she hit the milestone of giving away her 150 millionth Book!! Last year, Dolly Parton donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which worked with the drug maker Moderna to develop one of the first coronavirus vaccines to be authorized in the United States. These are just some of the many charitable acts that she does.
