I used your recipe to make mac and cheese for Thanksgiving. The recipe I use is thick like a brick, and expensive. The mac and cheese turned out amazing! I shredded my own cheese for the first time, and left out the eggs. The sauce was perfect, and the noodles with broth were delicious. The condensed milk was a great secret that balanced the sauce. I used the same cheeses, and the mixture was perfect. Everyone said it was the best mac and cheese they've had. I used shells, and the cheese sauce filled them up. Mr. Make It Happen, I made this recipe yesterday to your exact specifications. I normally use all these cheeses minus the havarti cheese. I bought this cheese and added it in. I took the pan to a neighbor for a wake. I never tasted the Mac & Cheese because I did not want to mess up the visuals. Last night a couple of people knocked on my door to tell me that it was "ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS". Their words not mine. They wanted to know if I could make another pan for a bridal party next week. It must have been the havarti cheese that took the recipe over the top and your measurments!!! Thank you so much for this recipe.

I have made this mac and cheese for Thanksgiving and Christmas ever since this recipe dropped. It is amazing! It's so good. You don't taste the little bit of condensed milk, you can change up the cheese to your liking, and you can adjust how loose or not you want it by adjusting the amount of cheese sauce you put in the noodles (I mean I use it all, but I'm just saying). It's a big hit in my house.

Never made a roux for Mac & Cheese. I was taught to add cook elbows, milk, egg, and cheese and mix in a bowl. Pour into a baking dish. Top with cheese. Bake and done. No complaints yet. But your version looks bomb. Will try after my diet ends in February.

I'm typically not a fan of cheese sauce roux mac, i prefer the little pockets of cheese you get from just combining the noods with the cheese milk and egg then layering with more cheese.. BUT ☝🏾 this looks absolutley fyyyye and i will be trying it!

Yes the egg is everything in baked mac & cheese it gives it a nicer flavor TO ME... but to each their own... I would switch out the mozzarella with Vermont cheddar cheese and use small or medium shells.. then everything else is a go!
