Ralph is insane if he thinks a mass effect legendary edition review/ retrospective on his channel wouldn’t pop off in views.
@Sekiberius24Ай бұрын
It likely wouldn't all that much because everyone already knows it's great, a retrospective wouldn't matter much as we all know modern Bioware is incapable of delivering such fantastic RPG's anymore, about the only company around anymore that's making such massive and awesome RPG's is Larian.
@williammoore1030Ай бұрын
@ it would definitely get as many views as he averages bare minimum, just look at all the New Vegas, fallout three, mass effect, dragon age, oblivion, Skyrim, 3 hour retrospectives that fall between 3-10 million views over a few year period, even channels with 100k subscribers that do a video like that clear a million usually. It is great for putting on in the background while doing something else. I’m sure it would do well regardless of biowares current talent, Just a video in his own personal style would definitely get a view from me at least.
@TheCybercocoАй бұрын
He's insane for completely different reasons. This video is hard to listen to at times.
@Pswayze23Ай бұрын
@@williammoore1030If he made that video now it would do good views, but if he waits 5 years when theres less talk about mass effect or pehaps when the next one is coming out, it would do crazy numbers.

32:40 it’s a shame anime games are never fleshed out. “Piggies here’s your slop” is so accurate
@violetbliss4399Ай бұрын
With Veilguard, I think they got the pivot clear way too late. You can still see that this game was meant to be a mission-based live service in so many ways. I think they simply had gone too far in dev after multiple hurdles/resets, so they just had to finish a product and they basically let them do it as a singleplayer game. I think that's why so many things were sort of there, but not fleshed out as much as one would like, as with romances. Worse, they had to make this game as the ending of an arc after a huge year jump and huge studio changes. It would have taken an Elden Ring miracle to save them. I don't even think Veilguard is terrible, it's just not what they needed to produce. It's funny, contrary to much opinion I see, I actually got catiously optimistic about ME5 with this game. I really think the engine and flow is pretty nice, character generator tech is obviously there, they've worked a lot on cinematic animation with expressions and the like. All things that can be used to great effect there. The problem for them was that this game wasn't ME5 in a way, which will be a fresher start, but will now have the baggage of Veilguard.

I would love it if, when discussing how many jobs are lost in the industry, you also mentioned how many jobs are created. That way, we can assess whether the industry's net is growing or shrinking (maybe the job losses are simply the industry re-adjusting but it's not less jobs overall). Additionally, it would be useful to know about attrition rates in different job markets. For example, Europe's adjustment is surely much slower than that of the U.S., but that doesn't necessarily means it's a healthier industry (ubi... cof cof).

On Crimson Desert, upon seeing its release date of "late 2025" I immediately shuddered because if GTA 6 releases on time as expected then that game will probably become lost and forgotten for most people, even if it is as awesome as it seems to be. I foresee only one of two scenarios: either Crimson Desert gets pushed into 2026 or GTA 6 will be. There's no way they should release around the same time in fact there is no reason for any game to even dare release close to the GTA 6 release, especially post-release anyway. Maybe 6-8 weeks beforehand could be okay but anything releasing within 3 months after GTA releases should seriously consider delaying whatever they have...
@KahranRamsusАй бұрын
Well, GTA never launches on PC until like 2 years later, and GTA5 launched broken with severe and constant load times, so GTA6 won't be competing with Crimson Desert on PC. I'll play Crimson Desert and forget all about GTA6, personally.

I have been playing since the NES and I feel this year was actually the toughest year to keep up with the quality games. So many games not even nominated or that were nominated for game of the year that I never tried or games outside of that top 6 that I feel have an argument to be in there like Prince of Persia / dogma. There was a lot of really long games also like rebirth / metaphor. It wasn’t a big year in terms of the big name IP’s but in terms of quantity and quality it was a big year
