I did the EU at university also and it was the British in particular abusing their veto on the council, like regards green legislation or tax avoidance that lead to that Lisbon reform.

Great content, I think you accidentally said at one point that the countries have different amounts of votes in the council, whereas actually that's in the Parliament. The council as far as I know, when it's not unanimous, requires a certain percentage of the states and those states to represent a certain percentage of the population. So no differing amounts of votes per state, still just one
