Older viewers of this channel might remember when the content I made revolved primarily around the Super Smash Bros fangame, Super Smash Flash 2. So pretty good cover of the history except for one thing. Black Mage. You really failed to capture his importance to the roster. He was a massive shock to the fan base as prior to this the roster was already finalized and shared publicly. When he was released he was not on that list. Which fair you did mention but you failed to mention that the devs confirmed that list has completely changed. We no longer knew what the roster held so every single addition was a mystery from then on. It was so wild and caused so much speculation. I believe they also confirmed the OCs were no longer coming at that point.

Smash Flash 1 is also notable for featuring a young Kira Buckland as both the announcer and the voice of Naruto. She was only 19 when the game came out. McLeod went with a female announcer to give the game "and[sic] extra twist", and because her voice was much clearer than the Melee announcer, whose files were hard to rip cleanly. Plus, the extra characters necessitated a custom announcer for consistency.

There was something I loved about V0.4. The character's select screen and the icons were oddly good. I also imagined who could I unlock after playing a lot of matches, wondering if I could unlock Sora or Megaman in the old versions until I realized it was impossible

Oh hey, this is awesome! I have an old story of back in high school I would bring my dinosaur of a laptop to play Smash Flash 2 with a couple friends every morning. That genuinely helped get me through some of the tougher times of school, that I could always beat the shit out of my friends with Black Mage and then get my ass handed to me 3v1 from the same friends. I was legit *banned* from playing Ness, and not because I used PK Fire, but that his spike was NAAAASTY. We've long since split, but I will hold a very special place in my heart for Smash Flash.

I was into SSF2 way back in version 0.9. I was using the Chromebook at the time and Wi-Fi was buggy. Thankfully SSF2 flew under the Nintendo radar, and is still going strong today.

SSF played such a huge role in my childhood. We couldnt afford a gamecube so I could only play melee at a friends house, and he lived pretty far away. So the next best thing was walking to the public library to play SSF1. When SSF2 dropped, i was so excited. Life got going and eventually, i forgot about it until recently. Just got back into it, and now its my wife and me's goto smash game.

Is crazy to think how accurate the character slots on the first version were in comparison to today. The first version displayed 43 slots, with 4 of course being the playable characters, where as today we have 48 slots, with one of them being the random selector

Keyword: most. And that's an assumption. He's my fav Mario character and it hurts to see the focus of the official Smash series shift more and more towards 3rd party reps with the audience just hating on him or thinking he's a meme. I'm in my 30s, have been wanting him since Brawl, and by now, any hope I ever had is lost. Or rather slowly washed away over time. So I'm more than glad he's in SSF2 at least, as a proper character, not a meme.

i think u should make more videos like this kinda like video eassy format for history of nieche games or evven big games i mean you could probably get thousands more views and subs if you do this same style of video for like the real smash bros or minecraft or the legends of zelda or whatever really anything keep your same personality this was great video the only thing i think was bad is the breathing i get its a long video but iot would add a layer of polish to not stop the voice ovvevr and make a new one after most sentences preventing the breathing but also using more visuall shit and sound effects type shit not juts background gameplay ngl you could get easily 50k subs if u do this
