Everyone acts sad about Kuma, I'm happy! Or maybe relieved. The fact that he chose his fate, that is the best outcome possible. I always worried that he was completely dicked by the WG.. now we know, he had a plan for the future, and will be able to do what he chose prior to his mind being erased.

I believe there's a stronger likelihood of Saul being the man marked by flames, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of this former warlord being the one. Going back to Chapter 999 where Ace and Yamato meet, Ace informed Yamato about Kid and Law. Considering that Kid knows about the man marked by flames, and judging by Law's reaction, it seems he might be aware too. This could be more than a coincidence, as I assume Ace defeated this warlord around the time he met Yamato. The reason behind this assumption is that Ace wasn't part of the Whitebeard pirates during his time in Wano, and he also wasn't associated with them when he took down this former warlord. Chapter 552 supports this idea, as it shows the world reacting to Rookie Ace, and Whitebeard reacting to Ace turning down a warlord position. In Chapter 1100, Ace is now a member of the Whitebeard pirates, implying a vacant warlord spot between the time Ace defeated one and when Kuma accepted the position. During Ace's conversation with Yamato, he indirectly confirms that Kid and Law were active pirates at that time, suggesting they might have heard about Ace defeating a warlord. In Chapter 1056, Kid mentions the man marked by flames, accompanied by an ominous panel of Law. It strongly implies that Kid and Law are aware of Ace beating a warlord and later discovering information about a man marked by flames. Shiryu's statement about the man marked by flames potentially working for the government aligns with the fact that warlords technically serve the government. When a warlord is defeated, they either face arrest (Doflamingo, Crocodile) or an assassination attempt (Moria). I speculate that this former warlord might have struck a deal to avoid arrest or harm, possibly involving stealing a poneglyph to prevent any pirate from reaching Laughtale.

Just throwing this out there, but the fight between Zoro and Lucci and the same as his fight with Hygozoru in Fishman Island and Pica in Dressrosa. A lot of shit talking, Zoro claiming they aren’t strong enough to fight Luffy, etc. The only difference is that the fight with Zoro and Lucci seem longer cause we cut away from it to focus on Saturn and Kuma flashback

As for the flashback, I think the way to look at it is that part 1 is Kuma's tragic backstory, and part 2 is Bonny's tragic backstory, which will likely end in a hardcut back to the present to show her father's death after everything that he has sacrificed. I think Kuma's ending will be like Cindry's from Thriller Bark. He will see Nika, crack a smiling to show the last glimmer of his humanity, then die.

Exactly, I feel we forget that she's a captain, and she has her own crew. Plus, there's some level of pride that a captain carries. Look at how Brook and Jimbei joined, even Jean Bart being freed by Law (I only watched this in the anime tho, so idk how it plays in the manga). There's some level of prestige Oda creates when a captain becomes a subordinate MOST times

My picks for the person marked by flames are Urouge, Saul, Ace's friend, Scopper Gaban or Dragon. And after reading the chapter before this one, the last option got me thinking, maybe we're seeing this ship for a reason.... but maybe not.

Luffy not being targetted from the start is really simple. WG has a LOT of threats. Luffy is just one of them. We got dragon, the yonkous, all the pirates in the world, the kings of each countrie(they dont oppose WG but they could be), Wano itself (with pluton no less) etc. The goverment will be spread thin if the WG prioritize everyone. Back then, perhaps they dont have CP0 to deal with luffy. Also luffy have crazy luck, and at child age he's with a future yonkou. If anything happen to luffy, garp surely will do something, perhaps WG considered that and dont want to disturb the FIST of the Navy, Garp the Hero!!!!!!!!! Lets go hype!!!!!

Maybe WG was tracing the fruit's whereabouts, and possible location would be where Shanks landed. They've had suspicions, but Kuma went there and met Luffy. Kuma senses something in Luffy, not necessarily knew right away that he's Dragon's son, just the general vibe of Luffy, and chose to spare him. Idk about taking Luffy's memories of the meeting, since Kuma's bubble goes back when no one absorbs it, except his own which was sealed by Vegapunk. Maybe he's just watching at a distance.

Laugh tale will be bigger than final war. Finding the One Piece and Laugh Tale are far far more hyped and built to than the final war. I feel its gonna be similar to how Konoha crush, Pain Arc vs the war arc being kore popular but to a much higher degree. Because of the Akatsuki, Pain build up, deaths that led to it etc. One piece will be worse tho as finding the one Piece and luffy becoming pirate king have been the main point in one piece since the start. The war src still had madara who was fairly built up and naruto bringing peace was a theme since early on. Laugh Tale will have Luffy becoming pirate King, finding the one piece, Probably his final battle with Blackbeard, probably Zoros battle wirh Mihawk for greatest swordsman unless it happens post war. Probably at leasr one huge death which im predicting to be blackbeard killing Shanks. Probably the full God Valley flashback unless they save it for a movie. A ton of lore reveal for Roger, Raleigh, whatever's left for Shanks after Elbaf, maybe Mihawk,. Final war will just be luffy liberating the world vs Imu and the World government and a bunch of Imu, Joy boy lore reveal. Final war will have bigger in verse impact but laugh Tale will Irl will be The defining arc of One Piece.
