Recently started my shiny quest in soulsilver and over 4 months I was about to give up on the shiny starter and I first encounter an uncatchable shiny pidgey since I had no balls at the start so I cracked and started SR for shiny started and got my totodile 4 SR right after that

Don't think of full odds hunting as a struggle. When I start a new hunt I say to myself "How fast can I get to odds" it helped me a lot when I first got into full odds hunting.

Been a long time since I got to comment on your video for an update on my SBQ! Wild day today. I decided to take a break on my Growlithe hunt after I got to 20K encounters in phase two. Went into the Ilex forest to look for Caterpie, one of my dream shinies - and I found it in 87 encounters! After beating the rocket hideout, I decided I wanted to do an Arbor week hunt for maybe Aipom or Heracross. I ended up finding a jolly natured Heracross in 10 headbutts. I'm losing it. I only need 9 more shinies to finish this challenge.

Outrageous luck! I love shiny Caterpie, one of the best. Don't you ever think that if you pause a long hunt and then get a quick shiny that it could have been the Growlithe? 9 more to go huh? Hopefully your luck continues but I think a long hunt could be nice in a way.

Currently on a badge quest of my own and as of right now I’m hunting big o snorlax at 2235 SR & counting. And was wondering how many SR do you typically do in a day on one game? thxs and love your videos they inspire me to keep going :)

Depends how much time I have on that day. If I have a full day free and I'm single hunting I'd aim for 1K SRs depending on the speed of the hunt. Adding in multiple systems I'd try add 1K SRs per system if it is an easy to hunt target.

Hi, the video is old and maybe you'll not answer but I have a question. I'd like to hunt lanturn in full odds how did you do? why stary as leader? I had an Idea : statik pokemon as leader so the encounter % of lanturn and chinchou is around 81%. But Like that I think the encounters will not be as quick as if I put a suction cups pokemon as leader. Help me! ( sorry for my bad english I'm french)

Staryu is for illuminate. You don't need suction cups to hunt this. I used the super rod to hunt Lanturn. You will need a fainted pokemon with static in the front of your party, too to help boost the % of Lanturn.

You have to fish for Lanturn no matter what in HGSS so doing what I suggested is your best option.

It varies. When I have a day off I and I'm motivated to hunt I could spend a solid 10hrs hunting. That isn't 10hrs straight though, I would of course get up, walk around, take breaks and such.

Online it says the coin case can only hold 9999 coins, it obviously can hold more as seen in the Eevee hunt? Do I have to do anything special or is the information online incorrect?

In Gen 1-3 the coin case only held up to 9999 coins. In Gen 4 it holds 50,000 max.

I had to use an R4 w/ GBA Backup tool installed to extract my save file from my cartridge. Then import the save file onto emulator, warp to Birth Island, save then reimport that save file back onto the cartridge using GBA Backup tool.
