@@MrPaulsPantry Couldn't stand and made it... Tasted the way I do remember! I didn't have the proper equipment. I took a soup plate instead of the pie pan. It worked like hell. Thanks again a thousand times. Went 5 years in GB in the middle of 70's. It was in Hereford - Herefordshire. @ Belmont Abbey where they were dispensing English Courses. Since then, sometimes on sundays, have my English Breakfast and 5o'clock Tea. A way to tribute for all the good I recieved...

My all time favourite, my mother was good at making apple pie, sometimes in the summer we added blackberries, that combination is so delicious! Thanks for the method on cooking the apples, this is going on my priority list of things to cook, unfortunately I can’t get Granny Smith’s apples where I live but I’ll find an alternative.

Thank you Mr Paul, it's been awhile since I've made apple pie, and it looks delicious. With Christmas just around the corner, it's time to dust off the Holiday recipes. "Santa's workshop" Start by dressing the rim of the mugs with ground peppermint candy Hot chocolate, with a double shot of espresso, shot of peppermint schnapps or Baileys a scoop of peppermint candy or vanilla ice cream, topped with toasted coconut, and a drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce, lastly served with a chocolate Santa and a candy cane

If you place the cut apple in a bowl of acidic water (lemon juice) that will prevent all apples turning brown. I use 1/4 teaspoon of clove to 1 kg apples.
