I see this and imagine driving an electric car for long distances, and I can only panic thinking everytime how many km is there left, and where will I be able to stop to recharge. And then think about the half an hour that I will spend waiting doing nothing once I find somewhere a charge station. And this is a brand new car!! Imagine after 2-3 years of use... It's like what happens with your smartphone battery with time... Too much stress and very high costs to own an EV.

Not a MB guy here (Was for 127.000 Km & never again ;-) ), BUT your talking the typical nonsense the people with no insight speaks. How often do you drive +400 Km without stop? The cars (At least my Tesla), even suggest where to charge & almost any other EV has this included in the infotainments routeplanner...Perhaps VW´s joke of a system hasnt but then again their "infotainmentsystem" are such a joke anyway that... ;-) Anyway, EV´s got spare capacity you cant touch, completely unlike your phones battery & some, again Tesla is completely forerunner here, thermal managementsystems that means the world in remaining difference. Both cars driven @ 83 Kmh (GPS Speed) @ 2 * 96 Km daily mainroad driving. I drive 50.000 Km´s a year, this costing me a set of tires a year (750 Euro)a, cleaning of brakes also every year (100 Euro) & then 2 cabin airfilters every second year (20 Euro a year). Insurance: 800 Euro. Roadtax = 90 Euro a year. Electricity costs me a flatrate of 107 Euro a month = 1284 Euro a year. No scheduled servicing is required = Total yearly price to drive 50.000 Km = 3044 Euro. My former MB C-class diesel was: Tires: 530 Euro for tires, service: 1350 Euro a year, insurance: 800 Euro, same as Tesla yes but fact. Roadtax: 590 Euro & then fuel at....4000! Euro a year = Total yearly price to drive 50.000 Km = 7270 Euro. This mean I save +4000 Euros a year, hetting into a nice warm charged car every morning, insane power when overtaking that slow driving lorry with 0-100@ 4,4 sec and drivetrain that doesnt suffer from clogged up EGR´s, Particle filters, stretched chains or faulty injectors + forget all about those oilchanges. Maybe you cant afford one, thats fair, but the only one you cheat with statements like yours is...Yourself :-) ....I repeat....It´s saving me +4000 Euro a year.

Apparently you can turn it off and choose between "silver waves", "vivid flux" and "roaring pulse" for the sound effects. The light throttle sound effects gave me some decent vibes but besides that it seems silly and I reckon it gets boring incredibly quick. Having sound effects and options is nice to have I guess.

@99a212 жыл бұрын
The electric engines are almost at its edge in efficiency .It is more than 98%. the key is in battery capacity. For instance 1 gallon of fuel 3.8L has the same amount of energy as 30KwH battery. The efficiency is already mind blowing.
@gilsonrogeriolimaoliveira28072 жыл бұрын
@@99a21 we need to take into account the efficiency of the electric in relation to the gasoline cars. A car comparable to the EQS will get around 14 liters per 100km if driven mildly fast like in this video. This is equivalent to 133 kwh/100 km. In this example, 1 liter will get you 7 km, while 1 kwh will get you 3 km. So 1 liter is equivalent to a bit more than 2 kWh, if the efficiency is taken into account.

What people don’t realize is, Tesla only has its status because it’s the pioneer in EV. But now all the big car brands such as Mercedes are doing exactly what Tesla does but with better interior and build quality than Tesla. Tesla only has a jump start in terms of efficiency but it won’t take long for VW, Mercedes, bmw etc to catch up seeing as how hard the German government pushes for electric mobility.

Maximum speed limited to 210 kph? Paying nearly £100k for that gibberish, and it pays me off limiting the top speed in there? I was thinking about replacing my V222 S500 with a M760Li due to 260 kph speed cap. No one knows where the industry is going. At least, I can still refill my tank in a couple of minutes without being in a hurry when I'm cruising through German autobahns. For families doing long journeys, EVs are still not even an option as the first car - considering range, towing capabilities etc.
