Even the tools you throw out, could be very needed by others! One is only as good as their tools & in this day & age, a lot of folks don't know how to fix themselves, much less their car nor house! I pride myself in tools & hate to not have a tool when needed!!! In watching two of your garage sale tool finds, there was many things that caught my eye! Good video as always!

Now that’s what I would like to see happen, since Stanley made those for their line and for Snap On Tools, oh and by the way Mr Pete Snap On does warranty replacement on those hammers with their name on it, i got mine replaced with the new models with completely different material for the handle. I called and they gave me a claim number and had me send them back to them. I received my replacement hammers within two weeks. They will last for my life time plus the next owner.

You're having fun and that is what is good, and your saving some good tools from the scrap yard. And teaching some of us what some of the tools are. That's good. Keep it up. Would love to talk to you if I was close. You remind me of my old machine shop teacher. I learned a lot from him. Dang, take the guy on the lawnmower with you to the garage sale. It is soooo annoying and everyone lives annoying noises in YT videos. One of my favorites is amplifying the volume when sawing, routing, grinding or sanding. And to top it off your neighbor cheated us of annoying noise 2/3 through the video. Dang. But he came back thankfully. How big is his damn yard? It could be a Hagner. If it’s as smooth as silk it is if not it’s Harbor Freight Chinesium. In short, you scored big time Lyle. I think you score s lot. Good for you. I love it. I love S&k as well. Hard to find. My fav C clamps are Cincinnati. Still have mine from high school. 50 years old. The Greenlee is a punch. I love the video. Buy a 100 watt amp and record and playback the lawnmower at midnight pointed at the neighbor. As soon as the lights go back off, turn it up and repeat. Had a great time.

well you added (I think) the complete sets of plebian modern number letter stamps to your collection, but then you discarded the mismatched set, which If I was quick enuf to note had letters with serifs on them, which are older/scarcer/and just not made any more (unless you make yer own....har har) If yer discarding them, send them my way. SVP. My old tool /motorcycle/antique collectors always want to borrow mine. Love your videos!.....Eric in Calgary

22:28 That is a greenlee punch for making holes in electrical panels. You start with a hole to fit the 1/2 inch, then go up to the size you need to make …. 3/4 1 1-1/4, 1-1/2 etc This stuff definitely came from an electrician. I also live in Illinois just behind Ohare airport. where are you near???

well I have watched a bunch of your videos and shared your exiuberance and loved it.... but in video 2 you had a whole series of letter/number stamps in wooden , which you valued/- but there was a plastic tub of other letter stamps which you dismissed as junk, but from what I could see in that quick dismissal, they had serifs on the letter, while the boxes were plain jane straight letter stamps. Those in the [;astic jar are much older, and scarcer-not to many folks pay attention to the "font' of the letters, but let me tell you I can buy plain-jane letter stamps at any discount store, but try to find the stamps with the serifs, well that's another story- to me, the ones you dismissed as junk were the best of the bunch, but that's just me Eric-whom keeps tuning in!

Hi Lyle! Boy I sure could have used the mill and Colchester. they looked almost unused ! My question is when you come across that sort of thing how do you transport them? I guess a U-haul is the way, or a small U haul and a trailer. I had one of those motors go bad (it hummed instead of running) and it turned out to be a piece of dirt in the start windings. Usually single phase motors that hum are the capacitor, which you can check by briefly shorting across the cap terminals. (do not electrocute yourself!) By the way, I ran across a key for the codes on the NEMA plates on electric motors. It is printed out on the motor, but might be of use looking in online catalogs. www.techtopind.com/embeds/key%20description

Cant remember the name on that scroll saw but it is German and still in production. New it's about a 600 dollar saw. If you care to box it up I'll cover shipping and 50$ to cover your trouble.

You can just send those Greenlee paperweights right here :-) I paid entirely too much money for a new set of them when I was setting up the VFD for my lathe. I think those and the riv-nut setter cost more than the VFD did, and it's a Hitachi.

Porter Cable made a fuel cell powered nail gun similar to that Paslode. The fuel cell in the gun would leak over time. Every time I went to use it the damn thing it was empty. Fuel cells were expensive, I think they were butane. Sold mine at a garage sale, I think some manufacturers took these of the market, no wonder.

Paslode is a good brand. This unit looks like it will shoot nails. The mag seems to be to narrow for staples. Funny that one of the chisels was bent. There is nothing, what a hammer and chisel mechanic can not destroy...even a chisel, lol

That Paslode nail gun looks a lot like one I used to use for office partitioning. Shoots hardened nails into concrete. The gass cells would deteriorate and need replacing usually before they were empty.
