Eh...Potential, I guess. Genuinely, idk what people found wrong with 1.0 but 1.3 I feel is riddled with plot holes. Especially the "ah btw we fixed tethys system lol why'd you rover off for a solution anyways" Shorekeeper should have stayed in the core and we should have went looking for the solution, supposedly our original intent.

@@imjustlikedenji5954 It can simply just be that it's not revealed yet. The Black shores story isn't over yet after all, it will continue in 1.4. My theory though is that it has to do with Abby because when Rover grabs Shorekeepers hand to save her, we see Rover's tacet mark glow like it does when Abby is released. And in one of the final cutscenes, Rover mentions Abby's been strangely quiet since then.

I was also so immeresed on the WuWa v1.3 story quest last night and I still can't get that out of my head and not gonna lie, I actually cried. This story quest was SO GOOD! This is also why for me, this was THE BEST story quest so far.

While everyone is here, I need some help explaining the 1.3 plot. I played through the 1.3 quest and ended up confused. Granted, I’m not very gifted, so I decided to rewatch it... ...and ended up even more confused. So someone help me out here: *About the Necrostar:* - A black hole destroyed Port Guixui, trapping many inside. It's called the Necrostar. - Tethys couldn't properly understand gravity using post-lament science, which is why it took the risk of integrating the Necrostar into its core logic. - The cycle repeated for hundreds of years. - Much later, the Necrostar inside Tethys somehow (1) caused an abnormal frequency in Port Guixui, leading us into it. - Somehow, (2) Youhu had a sentinel monitoring device from Mt. Firmament that somehow(3) was able to contain the Necrostar. - We brought back the Necrostar and uploaded it into Tethys, allowing other abnormalities to spill out. - Somehow (4), despite needing the Necrostar in its core logic, Tethys forcefully discharged it into an error cell, unfortunately killing a guy. - Discarded data are cast into the necrostar, yet the necrostar is Tethys core logic system? I’m mainly confused about why the Necrostar is simultaneously a collection of discarded data, the most important data (core logic), and an "anomaly" that was able to execute such a "lucky" plan against Tethys. *About Shorekeeper as the CCU:* - Shorekeeper was created along with Tethys as the second executor of Plan 3. - She is the Core Computational Unit (CCU) of Tethys. - Somehow (5), Tethys wanted to install the rover (us) as the CCU, which is why it tried to suck us into the black hole. I thought about this and considered, "Oh, maybe when Shorekeeper returned to her physical body, she ceased to be the CCU. That’s why Tethys required a new one." However, later Tethys said that "removing the CCU will result in a system crash," and that "crash" is what allowed us to have the happy ending. This means that Shorekeeper never ceased to be the CCU before we forcefully removed her. P.s (Some have mentioned that the Tethys system didn't end up crashing, as the core was replaced with human emotions abby has consumed previously. Which makes a lot of sense, thanks!) Then why did it want to install us as the CCU if it never lost one? Has this ever been explained? Sorry if there are any grammar errors. Pls halp

Long story short, we remodulated the CCU that is Necrostar, which contained / trapped the victims of Lament in Guixu for their emotions by making them go through vicious cycle which is crucial for Tethys system to predict the next Lament. Since the Necrostar was no longer usable, it needs a replacement CCU that contains those emotions, best option would be Rover cause we contain enough data of Lament after living for million(?) years, and then the backup choice would be the Shorekeeper. Upon pulling out Shorekeeper from the black hole, Rover's hand shone and the emotions required by Tethys system was fulfilled, I speculate it to be Abby's since its extreme hunger was mentioned afterwards and Abby went silent too after the incident. Please correct me if I made mistake.

@@kavier2581Your Abby theory makes a lot of sense for the ending, thx. Nevertheless, I think it's important to note that the core logic and the CCU are completely different things. In layman's terms, core logic is the target of research (2:07:02), while the CCU is the one responsible for computing that research (1:12:50). That's why the shorekeeper fully separated the term from her, and is also why we had the flashback of "watching" the Port Guixui incident with her. Her role is to "understand those feelings" and code them into the stars (1:43:06), as she has done for the past hundred of years. So again, Tethys never lost its CCU as it will result in a system crash. I thought about the "sacrifice" scene, and interpreted it in two ways: - one is that we failed to "control" the necrostar in time, as we were supposed to remodulate it using the piano (2:14:35). Tethys then were able to run the program, and now require the CCU installed to process the emotional frequencies. As usual....shorekeeper should've been fine in this scenario as it is what has happened for the past hundred of years. Or - we broke the necrostar by defeating the TDs(how? Idk), forcing Tethys to replace the core. At that moment, Tethys believed that we had the capability to become the core and the CCU at the same time. This is all so confusing, sorry for the yap. I also thought about the possibility of mistranslation, and having the core logic and the CCU as the same thing... ...but how are the dead people of Guixui supposed to code their own suffering unto the stars? And then, what burden does the shorekeeper have to carry all these years?? (1:41:46 )

@@vr4893 well , shorekeeper said the core has been replaced with a similar energy as the Lament , that therodian power Abby hold for 3 patch ( crownless + dreamless ) . The Therodian is human emotion of fear and sorrow so that power has replaced the current core . Rover also release the havoc power again and the shine at rover mark at the end , that prove my point a bit . At last , this just my conclusion , hope we get to know more in 1.4 . Or maybe in Encore quest (who know ).

@@QMS9224 Gacha tower were just updated. Genshin stays pretty much at the same spot, HSR jumped a little bit, and Wuwa got barely over 11m (from 6m before). Just remember that if you started playing Genshin in 1.0-4 (like most of the current player base), it's hard to swap to another, similar game, even if it's superior at this very moment. There will always be toxicity, because in the comparison videos there always be the people that will protect the game they spend thousands of €, because it might get better. Genshin was first. Even if it's lacking in past X updates, it still has HUGE playerbase, all the way back from the covid times. Genshin devs (and just remember that HS3rd, Genshin, HSR and ZZZ has completely different dev teams) can just release few QOL's like Wuwa like running, and they will be praised. Kuro needs to brute force their way with the contend, innovations and QoL with the Wuwa to compete. Hoyo is open to collabs. Genshin playerbase is too braindead at this point, but I would love HSR x Wuwa collab. Shorekeeper meeting Black Swan. Encore and Hook, HSR's MC and Rover conversation, etc. This is what I want to spend money on, not the silly battles about the pixels. I want the content.

The atmosphere, visuals, and soundtrack were amazing, and I enjoyed the Portal puzzles, but the writing was pretty weak, and the ending felt unearned.

*Spoiler* I cant be the only one that thinks 1.3 fell completely on its face. I was so disappointed in it. The ending was awful and made very little sense. Shore Keeper should have died. I think we all know that. The ending was also crazy sudden. A new patch should not be under 3 hours or game play including all the cut scenes. I absolutely love WuW but 1.3 was a massive disappointment. ShoreKeeper as a playable charcter is awesome though. One last thing Kuro needs to make it so we can pre farm material for new chacters before the patch drops. Not being able to use SK for the story was lame.

@@kantokuu see I couldn't agree less. If people get hype up a patch like 1.3 that fell short of on many levels such as real emotion, it was forced and very artificial. Length of the story a player should not be able to watch every cutscene and be able to finish the patch in under 3 hours. Doing all the side quests and collecting all the chest it reached just barely 5 hrs of game play. Lastly and mainly the ending made no sense at all. SK needed to sacrifice herself in that moment but to not have a fan favorite character die off they made a BS reason for why she didn't have to. As Kuro fans if we gas up sub par work then Kuro will fall into the same funk that I hear genshin people talk about. Where so many people said everything they put out was amazing, when in fact it was all trash. Now because of that the player base suffers. I do agree with you big Kuro win but definitely not a big win for the player base. As players we deserve more than 3 hours of main story every 40+ days. Like I said I want this game to succeed I truly enjoy it a lot. But literally there is now nothing to do in the game for another 42 days till 1.4 since the second half of 1.3 is a character rerun with nothing new being added.

I would love another 2 hours of just gameplay and action. With how beautiful the game is and how amazing the combat is, id definitely take 4 hours of game play and 1 hr or cinematics over 2 hrs of cinematic and 1 hr of game play. Especially when the second half of 1.3 is literally going to have nothing in it. So that's 40+ days of down time till 1.4.
