Lovely hike Mr Q, what a beautiful part of the country you live in. I loved those views, and yes, the wood was definitely spooky!👻👻I wouldn't fancy a wild camp in there Lol! Hope to see more👍👍

@@anthonypayne1 Thanks Anthony, It's harder to make these type of vids than I thought, but will keep trying, I have a plan to do a canal walk with a pub in it next... 😉

It's got some cool woody bits and the views are not bad, I will be looking for more places and the odd pub might find its way into a few... ;) Thanks Stuart... :)

Great Adventure, good to see you out. You were right about the woods too - they WERE spooky!

That were although the crows and the wolf may not have actually been there, but it felt as if they should have been... ;) Thanks Ian...

Finally got enough time in my day to watch this with no distractions on the tv! Great to see you on the big screen, really like the idea of the map at the start! Really does set you up for what to expect! How steady is that camera set up? Such a good picture and field of view too! Always have to touch the trig point 😂 you’re looking well my man, can see how much weight you have lost since I first started watching your videos! I can see that it’s the perfect temperature, but that’s the super early morning for you I guess! Love the chest pod! Great idea! It’s amazing to see so much of the walk with no other people about! It’s like you’re the only person on earth! We’re just getting to the spooky woods now! Lucy is such a good dog! An excellent travel buddy! The spooky woods are impressive! Now we’re passing all the fame machines, just past the duck pond! Always a good idea to keep her on the leash if you’re unsure about cows and calves for sure. It was surprising to see the scaffolding on the monument, good to see they are looking after it though. Putting the info on screen was a great touch 😂 the tiny stove was so cool! Takes up next to no room at all! Much better than a flask making a boiling hot brew! Hope your wife doesn’t watch this or she’ll go mad about her chocolates 😂 did she see it? The visitors centre looks great! It’s bigger than I expected! You deffo need to revisit and sample the food! I felt like I was on the walk with you! Very well made video! You should pick up a drone to add to your arsenal, I bet you’d love that 😀 loved the elevator gag 😂 fell runners are insane aren’t they? And we’re back at the car! Super job! How long did it take you in total? You got there at 6:30 right, or was that the time you finished work?

Wow, cheers mate for the super comment, I finished my 13-hour night shift and then went for it, arrived at 6:30 at Ivinghoe, and started walking, don't mind telling you I was completely knackered when I got home, problems I have doing stuff like this, I want to do a 10-mile walk next, but finding the time is a nightmare... Glad you enjoyed it, the drone has been a plan but it will eat into the time I have to do a walk like this, but I may try and give it a go... Cheers mate, this has made my day... :)

A decent stroll out there Mr Q. I agree a great bit of kit that Omm pouch. I love making trails up especially those that take me through awesome woods. Nice spot of chocolate - I trust your wife was cool with that and you got back at a decent hour. Well, good going. Mark

Thanks Mark, yep she did laugh when she see me eating her chocolates, lol... I shall be increasing the length of the walks gradually, to see if the Cumbrian way is going to be possible for me to do... ;)

Really enjoyed your short walk Chris.... How far did you hike? - noticed you were slightly limping for the last mile or so - need to get that sorted with the cure and some bindings before you set off for real. Nice to see you back on the trail ;)
@MrQuintonia5 ай бұрын
@@MybitofHistory Slight knee problem, I have some bindings but forgot to put them on... Yes I need more milage before I attempt anything, I'm hopeing to get up to Ilkley Moor next year, hike round or wildcamp, feeling a lot more positive these days, the weight loss has really helped me physically and mentally... Thanks for the watch Mike... Oh 8 .4 miles in total...
