I'm half your age, but I also feel the same. There's some music that I really like, but BABYMETAL is in a sense above music. I'm currently in a period where I don't want to listen to music, but I do want to hear (and watch!) BABYMETAL. I found the band a week ago and I'm filled with so much energy and emotions after listening to their songs. They have sort of "ruined" other music for me by completely changing my perception. I will surely get back to listening to some other bands eventually, but I will probably never look at music the same way again.

I'm 62 years old and have been playing on stage since I was 16.. Babymetal songs are as far from three chord rock n roll as it gets.. being raised on bands like Kansas, Dixie Dregs, Rush , Styx and others of course, Babymetal is a breath of fresh air.. instead of saying "kids now days don't know what music is".. Babymetal gives hope to this generation..

Good reaction. As Rick Wagner said, this song has only been performed outside of Japan one time, at O2 Academy Brixton, London. I was one of the lucky ones there to experience it in person ... when the heartbeats started sounding through the darkness nobody there could believe what we were hearing and what was about to happen. Su has said that she was so surprised that everybody there knew the song as it had never been released outside of Japan.

I still find that to be one of the biggest disservices to Su and Moa that no one, not one person at Amuse...even Koba, no one said "hey, our Japan-only releases have made it all over the world, so don't be surprised if people are singing along with it here tonight." Someone had to know they did! It's infuriating how much their management and label constantly drop the ball on one of their hottest international properties. That story also kind of lends credence to the notion that Su and Moa don't have much, if any, social media...and certainly don't look themselves up on it (which in some instances is a very good thing they don't, as you know). It would be impossible to be that oblivious to knowing about something like this if they did. It really is one of those stories you read or hear and just go "Really?!" to yourself because of how connected the world is now.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🎶 💕 'Syncopation' is a killer high energy track. Pretty much a flawless blend of guitars and vocals. This is what producer Koba said in a 2016 interview: Q: Of all the songs in this album wouldn’t you say that ‘Syncopation’ has the most Japanese feel to it? Kobametal: Yes, I would agree to that. And that is why on the overseas edition we put a different song in its place. On the Japanese edition we wanted to present an ever more Japanese quality to it and so this song was included. On the overseas edition in place of ‘Syncopation’ we have instead included the song ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’. - Even now, this song has only been performed outside of Japan one time, at O2 Academy Brixton, London, on July 2nd, 2019. BTW, even though Yui performed this song almost a dozen times, the footage here is from 2019 and 2020, after she left the group. Supporting dancers in the three shows in this compilation were Kano Fujihira and Momoko Okazaki. Riho Sayashi, the third 2019-2021 supporting dancer, or "avenger" has performed this song with Su and Moa, but not at any procam captured concerts.

(Sorry for American fans) "Syncopation" reminds me, an aged Japanese, of good old songs to which I listened several decades ago at home sitting in front of a TV set. BABYMETAL, however, gave a new power to this type of song. That is one of the magics they have. In the last year's 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts, I witnessed this song beautifully performed twice at the venue. When the intro started, my heartbeat went faster.

Good one, yet again! A syncopated beat in music is when you stress off-beats or shift notes into quicker beats (8th's, 16th's, 32nd's, etc.) instead of full beats. I think this song has some stuff to do with young love or having a crush and the way your heart skips a beat when you see that person, which could be its own form of syncopation. I know I'm not spot on with the meaning of the song, but am close. Someone will help me out, I'm sure.
