The best metal song about playing hide & seek I know of - but they are playing with an Oni (a Japanese ogre) which is the growling voice asking things like "Are you ready" to which the only correct response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance. Kami Band (in order of solos) for this one Takayoshi Ohmura, Leda Cygnus, BOH and Hideki Aoyama.

I love this song, the choreography and the storytelling through the lyrics. There's this particular part of the lyrics that i love so much. When the lyrics (near the end): Su says: "Even if you fall over, you shouldn't cry because you are strong kids" Answered by Moa and Yui: "We're still going more" It hits me really hard how it turns out that the girls are actually babysitting the Oni-san. What's the first is thought to be scary turns out a loving story. I love it

I've seen you say this so many times that a while ago I actually went looking for metal songs about hide & seek, you know, to validate your claim. Obviusly, since this is one of the best metal songs all categories to me, I found nothing better. I did discover another awesome kawaii metal band that has a very good one: Kaqriyoterror "hide and seek" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmWyfKB6bqeCbKM). So you know, thank you for helping me find more great music ;p

DUDE! Yes! You finally got to this jam! 🤘🦊. This was one of the first 3 songs that got me hooked and set me on my journey down the Fox Hole back in 2019. This song has Everything in it. Sick solo opening, growling, the teen ladies energetic dancing, crowd chanting, united clapping, Headbanging, and you know there was circle pit happening.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏃‍♀️👹 Looks like it's already been pointed out that this song is about playing something like "hide-and-seek" with a Japanese Oni, or Ogre. The recurring "Maada da yo" call from Yui and Moa in this song means "Not ready yet!" Some of their cutest choreography in this one. : ) BABYMETAL added a legit Metal backing band as soon as their producer Koba was able to convince the higher ups at Amuse, Inc. to let him go for it. There was an interview with bassist BOH a few years ago, when he talks about Koba's instructions to the band when he first put them together. It was, "Don't hold back because they are "Idols". Don't hold back because they are girls."
