The place looks dirty and chaoticm why cant the management restrict idlers, street vendors and hawkers. Why does it have to look this filthy and neglected where their own customers have no sense of security. Don't these ferry companies care about their brand?
@ArchitectRussell12 күн бұрын
I think the actual ferry company is a seperate private company from the terminal which is government owned. Correct me if I’m wrong anyone. That’s why the ferry is nice and the terminal is not 😂
@sketchbabu12 күн бұрын
@@ArchitectRussell I am not sure of the setup but if you ask me the ferry company is responsible for the area they operate in......or atleast they should make it a point to own that space to protect the brand experience, like the state of the toilet s is appalling.

I had an experience with this situation because i am a resident in this country. The problem of being scammed is where by when people sees that you are new to this place and don't know the location or the price in order to avoid it avoid contact with strangers who seems you don't understand them and also focus on your point to destination because there are many types of people who wanna gain money with illegal activities so that's all

Yes, you said on more than one occasion that you felt unsafe at the ferry and it was only when you were in the VIP waiting room you said you now felt safe. You were referring to the hustling and the bustling of the people around you at the port and not the safety of the ferry ride.

As a local i can tell you.. the tickets those guys sell outside aren't a scam.. at least not in the normal sense.. what they do is buy the tickets in their names so that they are "sold out" when you get to the ticket office and then they'll sell it to you at a mark up.. usually economy seats.. you will still get on the boat even with a ticket that doesn't have your name on as the extra fee you'll pay for includes a lil something for the security guy who checks the IDs.. in the end everybody wins lol.. sort of.. if u REALLY have to get to znz on THAT boat and the tickets are finished at the ticket office.. they could be your only option..

I'm confused by the negative comments against Mzungu for his efforts bringing attention to the issues we face every day. We should interpret the criticism as a constructive effort to improve the situation rather than an attack . Improving public facilities like toilets, especially ensuring access to water, is vital for public health and dignity. When someone highlights these problems, it should be seen as an opportunity to correct correct them, not a reason for criticism. Fyup.... salamu zangu kutoka zanzibar.

Don’t mind him, he is a poor mzungu who is getting high off bashing TZ as that’s the only time in his life where he is experiencing a better life. Ask him where in the UK he used to live and I guarantee you he was just a working class dude living from hand to mouth. He wasn’t living large as an average architect in the uk. In his own capital city he would have been living liking a rat in a one room HMO or studio flat. He should be grateful that TZ is giving him an opportunity that his own country would never give a nobody like him. Honestly, people should report this guy to the TZ authorities if he doesn’t learn to respect the country and the people. I will even consider doing it myself next time I am in TZ then he will see how fast they will show him that you are just a guest there. After all, if TZ is so bad for you, why don’t you go back home?

I like when you expose things that really need to be changed, such as the ticketing buildings and their processings with strangers wondering outside trying to scam foregners really need to be changed. The whole tickets office structures look like slum. The toilets inside the waiting area with lack of toilet papers also no toilet at the VIP area needs to be looked into it. They really need to do some work on that area or privatize it to a company that will change everything. However, the ferry entrance are narrow because of the structures of the ferries and not the management fault. I have taken ferries in developed countries and some are similar or even worse compare to the ones in TZ. Keep up with your vloging and expose more 💩💩
