This was 10 months after Floor joined, but was first time most of Europe has seen her as the lead singer. That spectacular ending was Floors idea. Not how it was originally recorded. Angels Fall First was released in November 1997, but only in Finland. “The band, and especially band leader and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen has since frowned upon the album, considering it essentially an extended demo. In a 2011 interview, when asked what album other than Imaginaerum Holopainen wanted to make into a movie, he replied that it would be Angels Fall First, and that it would be "a black-and-white comedy". Oceanborn was released in 1998.

Well, he's kinda right tho. For example, I was a Nightwish fan and I stopped listening to their modern stuff after Tarja left, like "what's the point?". BTW, Floor dropped her first single today called "Fire" which she also wrote and produced. It's not metal, it's not rock, but it is a bit poppish, but in Floor's way. BTW2, Pip Williams of the London Philharmonic calls Tuomas a genius as well.

Thank goodness there was no camera on me the first time I heard Floor. When she hit that first soaring "My fall..." I was instantly spellbound and have never looked back. During the end of the song I pictured ancient warriors rising from the grave to fight for the Valkyrie Goddess (or Stage General). I've heard this song 1200 times and I still tear up. Love your reaction to this. You mention several times about her only being with the group for 5 months, so go check out the video of the same song from Buenos Aries 2012 I believe. Floor wanted to change up the ending to what you just saw, and watch for the camera panning to Emmpu. The smile on his face says that she nailed it! Yea, an "exaggerated "version" of Sibelius 'monument/statue' + As many of us knows Tuomas is also a Huge fan of Disney - productions, so the keyboard stand is quite identifiable from Donald Duck cartoons etc. Not to even mention his passion on Disney music. As a big fan of Nightwish and also as a Dutch woman I wanted to say that I’m very proud and humble that the band choose Floor as the new front lady. She is from northern Europe but not from Finland. A little bit lower on the map. Floor is Dutch like me. It’s fantastic because the Netherlands is a dot on that map. So small and most people of the Nightwish army embraced her. Thank you Finland and all the other fans all over the world for making the Netherlands a little bit bigger thanks to Floor, you Guys and Beste Zangers. There very talented singers in this small country like Simone Simons, Anneke van Ginsbergen, Sharon den Den Adel and more. All symphonic Metal front ladies. All famous more abroad than in their home country. That is weird. Dutch people think by hearing the word metal off screaming singers and irritating guitar yelling stuff and then they have seen Floor on the TV show Beste Zangers singing the duet with Henk Poort. It was Phantom Of The Opera. Because of that show the Dutch people became familiar with Floor and Nightwish. It changed a lot of peoples judgement about metal. Better late than never. It's also worth remembering that Wacken is such a popular festival that everybody in the audience must have purchased their tickets while Anette was still the lead singer of the band. So basically the whole audience was expecting to see different singer by the time they made purchasing decision. And then Nightwish delivered probably their most legendary show ever...

\|/ Well I know that I speak for every sane member of the Nightwish Army man, when I say that we'll all definitely be showing up for any & every video that you make wherein you're introducing your girl to more kick-ass Nightwish tunes... heh... that's for damned sure my friend. I would bet you anything that interest is high indeed for that type of thing; hell, for any such kind of content wherein someone that's as personable, engaging, & clearly pretty damned knowledgeable of musical structure and has the wisdom garnered via personal experience playing in a band, choosing to intimately share their own appreciation of what this existentially transportative musical experience is... a thing which is simply what is so often being offered up by the live performances of this group called "Nightwish". All of this awesome music is, in my not so humble opinion anyhow, actually kinda a unique sort of emotion evoking experience which folks can unexpectedly discover out of this thing that Nightwish has made here. What with just how incredibly amazing all of the band members artistic skills & composed workings are... and dammit man, all of those musical savants together definitely makes for a chemical soup that's just, so, damned, cool... Mixing in all of their mutual, enthusiastic, and respecting musical vibing seemingly just naturally works so well together, that it will inevitably produce works that are just so distinctive, so perfectly aligned and harmoniously felt by each of the incredible individuals in this band... that magic results. They are all just so in sync up there inside of their live performances; as well as how genuine their obvious emotional investments are in these performances; that it all tends to, more often than not, ultimately end up creating quite a good number of awe-inspiring songs, songs which are simply just so undeniably and incredible great that it actually becomes a moving experience, one that they have elevated unto true musical masterpieces! ☆ Yeah man, absolutely, do it for sure, for sure my man; ya know I'm in and will be turning up for it already, dude!

Greetings and welcome. Tuomas takes the demo to Pip Williams and Pip composes everything that you hear in the orchestral tracks. Tuomas actually chooses what parts he wants to perform on the album and Pip takes care of the rest. As Tuomas quoted in the video, The Making of Endless Forms Most Beautiful, "I just take the tracks to Pip and let him do his magic, and I'll tell you... I am impressed every single time." The keyboard pipes actually include a spot for Tuomas to hide his wine. Floor joined Nightwish onstage for the first time on October 1st 2012 in Seattle, Washington and was made permanent in June 2013. This concert was performed on August 3rd 2013 (10 months later) and it was in Germany.
