I have borrowed this recipe from Mrs K. She makes it quite differently to mine. I shall post the recipe for Kulcha separately.

Made this dish last night and it was a hit. The end results were a lot more like what my mom used to make. Chef, thanks for the recipe.

Ive really enjoyed the simple home style recipes. Great for me to introduce my wife to dishes like the way I had them as a kid

What did you boil the chickpeas with? I tried with some tea once and it was interesting

That's pure Desi Indian style, boiling with tea. Where did you learn it from.

Add a pinch of baking soda while boiling chickpeas (not baking powder). It'd take less time to boil and chickpeas would be more soft.

Chef Atul, when did you add the pomegranate powder and the mango powder? Do they go with the spices at the beginning? The fenugreek, the pepper, the cloves, the bay leaves?

The spoon was straight at the beginning of the recipe xDD

My American brain immediately thinks “where is the tomato and garlic?” But then I remember, we add tomato and garlic to everything.

my indian brain asked about "onion and tomato". I am a little surprised that this recipe doesn't have either. the color looks good...
