Im genuinely perplexed why Atul’s cooking doesn’t show any “”bhuning” of the food. How do the flavours come out? My curries don’t take 4 minutes to cook - my veg would still be raw 🤷🏻♀️

Chef- for cilantrophobes the issue is actually a genetic quirk. For the rest of us thankfully we can savour coriander.!!

When i soaked my chickpeas over night, do I have to boil them for a bit before i add the kale? Otherwise the kale would be overcooked right?

It's awesome 👌 chef!! My hubby loved it so much that apple raita does give a lift to that wonderful biryani.

Camera is too far back. We can see NOTHING. Bring it up close to show cooking, not the chef. Focus on the food. Hold the camera phone in LANDSCAPE MODE not PORTRAIT MODE. Get a shirt microphone so we can hear you above the sound of cooking. Audio and visuals are sub par. Also, fry BOTH sides of the potato patty not just one. Dhania and Jeera spices CANNOT be ground fine in a porcelain mortar and pestle, that is ridiculous! Use a dry grinder. You cannot use coarse cumin and coriander seeds in aloo chat, it has to be finely ground. There is NO WAY you can crush either one finely by hand in a fine porcelain bowl, it needs metal electric grinder. Stop deluding people. Why do you need oil + ghee? Use one or other. This is not butter that will burn. Ghee does not burn brown. No need for oil. Yes, there is a rule to putting the chutney on the aloo (potato). Yoghurt first. Tamarind second. Green chutney (usually cilantro leaves + onion + ginger + green chili paste, mint is optional). You have done it backwards. Explain your recipe for green chutney! I've never heard of anyone making an olive oil + lime juice dressing for an Indian snack dish. This is your own invention. You also do not make divots in the patties. Leave them alone and crispy. Adding a liquid on it directly makes them soggy. Ridiculous. There are no pomegranate seeds put on top of chaat! WHAT SPICE POWDER??? You mean Chat Masala or Pani Puri Masala pack from store. Not explained. Ridiculous. WHAT IS THE GREEN LEAF YOU PUT ON TOP? NOT EXPLAINED. Ridiculous! The entire recipe is a joke. Half of it not explained, half of it all wrong. Furthermore, your visuals are worse than amateur level. Why is your camera person focusing on YOU? The dish is the center of this video, not the Chef. Narcissistic traits do not make a good video. This is a fail.
