I think at the end of the school year you should do a video of what you expected going into your first year of teaching vs what actually went down and also what you learned ( what you actually needed, what you’d add to your classroom)

Love your room and all the love you put into your classroom. I'm a huge fan of a nature inspired classrooms. The colors are soothing and calm. The less overestimating the colors and feel the better. I'm a preschool teacher who has been out of the field to be a stay at home mom the past several years will be using your inspiration of natute in my classroom when i go back to work. Love the door bell. I may usethat idea for clean up time after centers. Keep up the awesome job!! Love your dedication to your kiddos.

So interesting to see you guys start classes so early. In Australia the average school time is from 8:30/9am to 2:30/3pm. I'm not a teacher but it's cool to see.

It actually is pretty different across America, too! A lot of people here think we start super early as well! haha!

You know you can use your wordless picture books for your high readers as well. Those are great for using higher level inferencing in order to figure out what's happening in the story. They can also write words to the story themselves based off of the pictures. These are great for drawing conclusions as well!

Hi I’m a teacher from Australia and I think your classroom is lovely. Just wondering about your word wall here our word wall has to be at the children’s level so they can actually take the word which is velcro to the wall. It is important for the child to have access to a word and replace it after they have used it. This helps with identifying the word and the beginning sound and being able to replace it also. Just wondering why it is so high?
@pldj38045 жыл бұрын
Kate Adams we don’t do that in America. We use our word wall more as just a visual reference
@MrsCallsCampers5 жыл бұрын
Kate Adams I dont really have a good place for a word wall that would be interactive. I have seen people put their words on rings for the students to flip through. Maybe next year I could post words and also have rings. I do like that! My students usually just walk over to the wall and write the word. I also have sticky notes in their caddies so they will go over and copy the word down. I find sticky notes with random words everywhere 😂
