I feel both good and bad when I watch your videos. 😂 Good - you are amazing, great ideas, passionate about our profession. Bad - I am falling short on teaching like you are teaching. +Mrs. Call's Campers Mayleen , Giving your students that time in the mornings to either watch a show or talk to their friends in my view is the correct call . A . You are easing them into the day . B . Isn't it better for them to go ahead and get their chatting with their friends out now so that they do not have anything to chat with their friends about or any reason to try to chat with their friends while you are teaching ? Keep taking the smart route because for all of those teachers who have chatty students especially on occasions like that you have something to tip those teachers on that works for you with your students in your classroom . Also , I enjoy seeing you set things up . You look good in your outfits and really I like your smile and hair that goes along with your outfits . Keep handling things like a champ . - Dwight

Can you please upload a video on how you use assessments to arrive at a grade. I feel like noone ever explains this and we aren't taught this in school. I think it's super important because a parent might be upset and ask how you arrived at a grade and you need to prove it. That sounds so stressful to me.

Usually do alphablocks or wild Kratts at the end of the day. In the morning my kids talk they do a little bit of morning work then they can read, color or draw. We have 45 min in the morning where kids are still eating breakfast or still coming in and then the bledge and announcements start then we go to pe 15 min after that so I can't start anything so we have alot of down time when they first come in

I loved seeing your math instruction! The chopping was awesome! I used snap cubes and had them start with the same number of cubes and they would put the cube stick behind their back, break it in two pieces and write the number sentence for it. It ended up being an independent game during centers for the rest of the year. the You are so patient with them. Valentines was my favorite holiday as well! Great video as always! My kids had breakfast in the morning so that was social and then they had partner work or stem bins. You could always turn the show on halfway through the soft start and see if that works.
