@tehpw7574 I'm unaware of his involvement. The series was made at least ten years ago, during the Golden Age of Fan Films. If you're unfamiliar and like TOS, you _must_ watch the fan series _Star Trek Contines_ . All episodes are on KZbin. I have a playlist that includes all episodes, bloopers, and behind-the-scenes videos, in chronological order. STC was show-run by Vic Mignogna, and was his passion project. As a professional, he was able to involve other professionals. There's a small cadre of voice actors, and guest stars ranging from John DeLancie to Colin Baker. Chris Doohan (James Doohan's son) plays Scotty. The final two episodes, "To Boldly Go ..." provides the series finale we never got. I dare you to not got the chills at one point. You'll know when. The Golden Age of Fan Films was extraordinarily prolific. There are a number of excellent Fan films and series that all hard-core Trekkies like me should watch. 🖖

As a semi- amateur fan production it is quite good, but it is just fan service and unoriginal imitation that often borders on parody. Takei isn't particularly notable (will cut him slack for what this is) and the future scenes with Capt. Sulu and his crew are very weak and unoriginal. This is a great story, well performed that would have made a great episode of TOS. But all the roles except Sulu are recast which just makes it wrong somehow. Like a perfectly engraved three dollar bill. And it should be obvious why it wasn't picked up as a pilot for a new series. The purpose of a pilot episode is to introduce a proposed new TV series to a TV network and the viewing public. We see the major characters and learn a little about them. Here we see virtually nothing of the "Captian Sulu" series. How can a network decide on a new series when the entire pilot is a flashback from an old series?

Pick the best of New Voyages and Continues, add Axanar if it’s possible to edit a cohesive episode from what they’ve produced.
