Only Beth and Ed know what happened in their marriage. We don’t have a right to make judgements based on what the media says happened or what we assume happened. That had to be a few hard years for them. Beth trying to make her band successful. Eddie always gone on tour all the time. Then Roskilde happened. That would’ve been hard for anyone to get through. Also models can be more than one dimensional. They are still individual people. He obviously found something in Jill that was a good fit. Maybe she had a better understanding of what he was going through being recognized everywhere. My point is we don’t know anything and have no right to be critical. Give the guy a break.

I can see straight away what Vedder was feeling,. You only have to listen to the part where he says they were walking to their van and some woman shouts at his wife/gf Beth ' You bitch' ......he struggled with the whole thing but like many genuine sensitive talented people live in conflict because they love music and want to share it somehow with people to lift their spirits. I would've been horrified too if some woman had shouted ' you bitch' at my gf , you give so much and that is what they give back.

Here you can see the crack starting to build between Dave and the rest of the band. I think he was enjoying the success the most. He wasn't even on the first album so he's steadily riding the wave. But it's obvious to Eddie that he knew that something wasn't right. Mostly because touring the first record for two years. Trying to land and the record label wanting a follow up very quickly. I'm guessing there wasn't much rest between 1991 and 1995. Thank god they didn't split up!

Dave IS no doubt the best Pearl Jam drummer, but you can tell he's on his way out here. If losing their best drummer was the cost for sticking around another twenty years, then I suppose it's worth it. I still love the Vedderman, but Pearl Jam 1990 to 1995 were untouchable. Well, I'll concede that it's a childish and petty move to look up someone's KZbin clip just to insult them, and that a worthwhile person would have better things to do. So what's my damage, anyway? Eddie Vedder was apparently unhappy with the job performance of a guitar tech who happens to be a friend of mine, a great guitar tech with a history of working with bands that Vedder idolizes, and one of the nicest, most down-to-earth and humble guys you could ever know. And Eddie Vedder saw fit to address the situation by attempting to humiliate this gentleman on stage in front of a huge crowd. So fuck him, especially in light of his bullshit persona and his bullshit music.

Music is interpretive, it's art. So it's up to the individual. Obviously I hate some bands' music too, but I'm not publically insulting them and I'm definitely not watching videos on youtube just to say nasty things about them. What's the point in doing that? If you don't like them, just ignore them, focus on music you do like and let everyone have their own opinion. I am 16 and more mature than you are, it's depressing
