About the "childish" thing: I used to be (and act) very innocent, I married when I was 19 and my husband thought it was super cute. After I had my first son, it kind of stopped, as if the woman inside of me diesd to bring out the mother, the one who takes care of everything etc, and I felt one day that I can be a harsh person, perfectionist, and that was wearing me out, also my marriage was suffering. So just like you said, I started exercising this part of me again (without telling my husband of course) and one day he had tears on his face, telling me how he felt like our relationship was back as it were before. Hearing you talk about it is unreal, and you have no idea how important this is for me. If you're a woman that feels comfortable with this, please give it a go. It's truly amazing.

Yes! I feel like a lot of aspects of femininity come easy to me, and marriage is truly when I’ve come into my own element, but I’m kind of awkward with children. I love middle school age and teens, but I’ve always struggled with babies! I think your point is so true: we can all grow and choose the direction we want to go!! 😍☺️❤️

My mother was never one to clean and still isn't to this day. I remember as a kid I'd go to my friend's and family's houses that were so nice and clean. It helped me feel so comfortable. When I got older I vowed to myself to always keep a clean house. It took some work to get certain habits but it's worth it. And it works wonders if you struggle with general anxiety. It's not a cure but it will help you manage it better. Btw, a good way to start forming these habits is making your bed, without fail, everyday. It sounds ridiculous but it works

I want to be more feminine but I feel like it's hard while working a full time job. Am I just making excuses? When I get home from work I have plans to dry brush, exfoliate, oil pull, give myself a mani/pedi, etc. But I'm in zombie mode and can barely move after work. I have just enough energy to keep my home tidy and organized, but that's about it. Maybe I should start with cleaning up my diet so I can get more natural energy?
@paigec5017
@paigec5017 4 жыл бұрын
Diet is a great place to start as just a shot in the dark! Do your research first though because you don't want to make things worse by cutting calories or something like that. Also, it doesn't need to be labeled as making excuses, in reality it's just the context for or system to facilitate that behavior/feeling you want hasn't been set, a bit more self compassion and a perspective of self nurturing is what's needed so that you can allow yourself the space to do those things that rejuvenate you. You don't need to blame yourself or shame yourself into doing those things 🌺

Is there anyway you can have your girl time in your morning with yourself before work? I love doing this and especially because dry brushing is best before a shower not sure when you shower but I do in the mornings and oil pulling is also best done in the morning. I work full time but honestly having those couple hours in the morning is really nice. Plus I find I am even more feminine going to work.

I wasn't drawn to being a mother or being a nurturing person but let me tell ya, when it is your own child it is 100% different! There is no love like the love for your children. And the nurturing side of me came out with a force like no other haha. I can't wait for you to start having kids and making kid videos! Also I appreciate these feminine videos because now that I have toddlers and babies it's so easy for me to forget to be feminine and not wear sweat pants everyday 🤦‍♀️

Thank you for the encouragement!! I’ve always been nervous about when I have kids, that I won’t be as good a mother as the kind of girls who grew up addicted to babysitting and obsessed with tiny kids. I’m not like that, but from everything I’ve heard, people say it’s different when it’s your own babies, just like you said! Hopefully it’s true 😩💛❤️ also, good job for pursuing your femininity even amidst this intense time in your life! 💓💗

Well I try to squeeze in time to see my little cousins as often as possible but I still don’t get my desired time with them. I just hope when I finally have kids I won’t have postpartum depression.

I come from a totally different culture where children and their parents share a very...um positive kind of CO-dependent relationship. Is it true that in the West once you turn 18 the relationship between parents and child becomes weaker? Like partners assume greater importance in someone’s life than their parents?

I really want to be more feminine, I started buying clothes that look less casual, I'm trying to act more mature and be kind and elegant, but it also seems like girls around me (in high school) are getting jealous and avoiding me.. which is so frustrating. How do I deal with backlash when it comes to becoming more feminine and kind? (This is something I struggle with bc I've always been 'innocent' and people just avoid me because they assume that I'm uptight and I think I'm all that.)

One thing I learned in life is how femininity is intimidating; a feminine woman, when around other women, is automatically putting herself in superior position to the other girls. They feel inferior, but they don't realize it, and they might not like you because of that. When a feminine woman is kind and loving and innocent, she becomes admired and untouchable, and people who antagonize a feminine kind woman are seeing as "monsters" (why don't you like her? She's so nice, what's wrong with you?) (sorry if I didn't convey the message properly, English is not my strongest language haha)
@imadethisemailwheniwas967

I was in the same situation, I just got even kinder and whatnot and people stopped avoiding me as they realized that there's no reason to avoid me, if anything there was more reason to be close with me than avoid me. With that said, just keep getting better and better and people will soon be quite drawn to you

I say that you shouldn’t let them affect how you live your life, be generous and kind to them, allow them to get comfortable around you, but keep boundaries and don’t tolerate cruel people! Proud of you for making this journey. High school is tough. Sometimes just having one or two friends who accept you for you is totally enough 🌸💜🙂

Last semester I thought to myself that it's not worth it dressing/glam-up for uni because I can do that in my freetime. Honestly, I was just too lazy to wake up a bit earlier to get ready. This semester I decided to always leave the house with lipstick, looking polished, jewelry, perfume, nice outfit and nice hair. It has made SUCH a difference! I am way more confident, I'm more active in class because I feel like I'm more awake and even the people around me notice it. The other day some random guy greeted me in the hall. so yes!!! 100% agree! I would've never guessed how my appearance could change my whole being.

I'm a new Christian, finally finding my way after new age spirituality and atheism. I just had to comment that about 6 months ago, I wrote and spoke and thought about how I wanted "joy" in my life. That exact word. I had already found contentment, gratitude, achieved goals and had good relationships, but never really felt joyful. I've recently become extremely interested in Christianity, after a lifetime of disbelief...Hearing you say "joy is a fruit of the spirit" was such an amazing coincidence, I think I'm on the right path. 🌺

I found her in a hate video too, but in the back of my head her channel seemed more advice-oriented for women seeking to be feminine and a vlog of her personal life rather than a channel meant to spout her beliefs, which was confirmed with further investigation. As much as others may say in general that I may be the opposite of her (career-oriented rather than family-oriented, nonreligious), I find her advice refreshingly inclusive.

Hey Caitlin, I hope you find my comment and find joy in it as well! I discovered your channel about 2 weeks ago, and I realized I've been on the same journey of growing in my femininity and my faith. Caring for others has been something really important to me and over the last 2 years I created programs in my school that teach students with mental disabilities water safety skills since I live close to Lake Michigan and that 18-24 age group is very vulnerable to accidents. I also created a formal dress drive so that everyone can feel beautiful at events like prom. Now I'm going into nursing school and really looking forward to that season in my life and your videos are helping me focus on the caring and nurturing side of me that has been so important while I've been growing into a young woman and becoming in touch with my love and my joy for God and the beautiful life He has given me. Anyway, I really wanted to thank you because your videos are really inspiring me to take some time to clean and beautify my space while I've been in self quarantine! Blessings to you and your husband and I'm praying that you stay happy and healthy during this time!

I absolutely LOVED what you said about femininity looking different on everyone!! When I was little I hated the whole idea of being feminine because I guess some part of me thought that in order to pursue my dreams I have to be strong "like a man"...whatever that means. But for me it was so encouraging when you said that each one of us can pursue femininity in our own way, in our own personality and if we try copying someone else we will feel very uncomfortable. When looking at femininity I thought I had to give up on the things i like or the way i am...and looking at other feminine women and comparing myself to them or seeing how they do things and what they like, I would feel so unhappy and uncomfortable (even weak) when i tried to apply their way of pursuing femininity into my personality and who God made me to be. I am sooo thankful that God creates so much variety and personality in each of us differently. I am trying to dig deep in my identity in Christ to see who He made me be as a woman and not try to become someone I'm not!

Thank you! It was a Lovely video ! Something similar to the 7th tip was very good for me. I dont personally spend much time on the socials but I watch a lot of cinema ! So I tried to include more and more movies or shows with feminine features or characters . Especially more romance, adventure and history (with all the beautiful costumes omg) . Loving it so far ♡ So many animated movies, Rom coms and some Korean and Turkish shows as well ! Thank you again! Love from Morocco 🌷

Hey Mrs. Midwest! I used to wonder what it was that made me a woman - it seems like there were ways that a boy becomes a man I had observed: responsibility, growth, physical attributes, and possibly certain coming-of-age rituals. I used to ask when I would "become" a woman and stop being a girl. Watching your videos gives me peace and many great answers to this question: Maturity, wisdom, kindness, responsibility and caring. These are things that transcend us from girlhood and womanhood.

Which I appreciate the most about this channel is that it is different from the traditional feminist way of being a woman, but she seems to feel really good about her development, it has to be encuraged. Each woman has the right to decide who she wants to be.

Can you talk about over nurturing men who don’t appreciate you. I tend to find myself in this position over and over where I spend a lot of time nurturing a man to the point where I end up cooking, cleaning for him as well as working to make a living and he just goes to work and comes home and sits on his computer playing video games. He will get super comfortable then stop appreciating me or doing anything for me. This causes me to get really irritable, hate doing chores and ends up with me doing the bare minimum hoping he will stop being a man child only for him to get mad at me because I’m “not the same woman I was.” Ignoring the fact that he’s changed. How do I navigate this in a situation where I do need to work for a living.

My favorite youtuber (next to Cait) is Shallon Lester, she also talked about that childish spirit. She might seem the opposite of Caitlyn, she's very fierce and badass. But that's the beauty of femininity, it comes in all shapes and formes. So Shallon talked about this in her video about becoming an alpha female I think, it's important to look at ourselves without the adult stuff blocking the view. What excited you as a kid? What was your odd or weird interest or thing you loved to do carelessly? Start there and trust me it feels amazing. There's a little child in all of us 💗

When I was younger I was a tomboy. Now that I’m older, I’m trying to be more feminine. It’s hard to break away from the “masculinity” of being a former tomboy. Doing nails, hair, and makeup was never at the top of my to do list. But now that I’m married, and am getting older I’m trying to do more

I completely agree with your point about how dressing femininely brings out feminine behavior. My closet is filled with semi-feminine, unflattering clothes in dark colors that don't make me feel like myself or very feminine, but I don't have the budget to buy new clothes. Does anyone have any tips?

This is an amazing video and I absolutely love your channel! Could you possibly do a video for brides and wives to be 🙏🙏🙏 I'm 21 and will be getting married this summer after my graduation I have so many fears over this new " role " I have to step into, how to do it right without losing yourself because of various social expectations. I'm worried about changes this brings to friendships I have at the moment and the general changes that come with this process of growing up and begining a new chapter in your life. All of the married women in my life are older ladies so I feel like I don't relate to their experiences as much :') Anyways ,keep doing your great work ,you are a role model for so many young women God bless you ❤️❤️❤️
