But being gifted does not automatically translate into being skillful at your chosen craft, nor will it ensure success at any level, let alone at the highest level, to achieve what Anthony has (even ignoring the timeframe), requires enormous amounts of hard work, dedication, discipline, an extraordinary mindset, plus the right people as your inner circle. We are all extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to witness a true legend. Most impressive to me is he also seems to be an incredible human. Nothing but 100% respect. His closing comments are the perfect exclamation mark to an excellent documentary.

Love him or hate him, he revived boxing in Australia when half the population didn’t even know what boxing was. Even from the boxing events of Jack Johnson to Jeff Fenech this country threw this great sport away and forgot how great it was until Mundine came along.

This is truly ridiculous. The narrative on each fight is completely false. In the Kessler fight he barely won a round and the documentary suggests he was in the fight. Similar for the Echols fight. They pumped up Echols on a fight with Hopkins in which he barely won a round and Echols has never beaten any decent fighter. A hand picked manicured fight career which is fine, but don't pretend otherwise. Mundine was a limited fighter who constantly proved his lack of intelligence with disrespectful comments such us "America bought 9-11 on themselves" and "woman cant be leaders in the community" referring to Cathy Freeman. Laughable! He should be condemned.

A lot of people don't know how good a rugby league player Anthony was, I grew up playing league from under seven's ,I played for 15 years so I knew the game and Mundine was an outstanding Player, I was shocked like many to she him be snubbed by selectors, it was obviously weird he was not an inclusion in the National team the Year he decided to leave.But I was glad he went to Boxing at the same time.

Flew down to Sydney for game 1 origin 2010? Maybe … anyway at the airport flying back morning after origin was at airport with my 10 year old son and we had a photo with choc and he said keep training hard to my son and then he asked me for my address in Brisbane he would send my son some boxa gears gloves etc I didn’t expect it to come he’s a busy man forget about it a week later a box gets delivered to Brisbane has gloves wraps shorts tee shirt drink bottle gear bag groin guard boxing boots and a note to my son saying nice to meet you and your dad I wanna see you chasing your dreams be kind listen to your parents and stay on track. His punches were so fast especially his jab it was just like a jerky stutter of a movement and he hit is target. But like I said he wasn't the best skillwise and had a thin glass chin. Also he was beating Ottke before the KO. But just hitting and running away that how fast he was. He was fast on his feet too from Rugby. Normally Rugby players have big legs. It is amazing how he could transfer his muscle mass to upper body so easily.
