If it ever reaches a stage of "complete" or the dev just wants to move on, or Nintendo has moved onto their next console, then open source it. Speaking as a big proponent of open source. All these silly gaming "news" sites are part of the problem. We don't need to hear about how every single game released works in an emulator. What's the point of drawing attention to all of this? Weird considering Japan loves the company, but Nintendo treats outsiders like "Terrorists" or "Danger to their Corporate Democracy" (akin to the news reporters saying the phrase "This is a danger to our democracy"). It's unfortunate how much Nintendo has fallen on the west side, but on Japan's side they're not going to have any trouble any time soon, so they might as well stick with the audience that works for them in their native country, not so much the rest of the world (or first world countries I would say).

What do these things have in common... Gary Bowser, Skyline, Dolphin, Lock-Pick, Citra, Yuzu, Sig Patches, Ryujinx (I am sure there are many more I've forgotten)??? I have supported Nintendo for many years. The first hint of a problem was many years ago when Nintendo started reselling the same games going from system to system. The first sign of what I thought was relief came in the virtual console on the DS. The way I understood was if I buy the game AGAIN this time I won't have to buy it any more. That was true. All the old games are behind a paywall for their "Online" service that offers no real value. Now you can't buy them. I am now in my 60s and I don't care what Nintendo license's say. I have purchased Super Mario World enough times that if I want to play it on any system that can emulate it I will. I feel the same for Switch games. I'm in my 60s. I just had both eyes operated on for Cataract and Vitrectomy. Maybe I don't want to play on a small screen. Maybe playing on my larger Steam Deck screen is what I want. No, I don't want to carry multiple devices, I'll take my larger Samsung tablet with me. If they actually offered to backup ALL of my save games (when paying the online fee) I could play at with my grandchildren on one of their devices. I stopped supporting Nintendo about a year or so ago because as a corporation, they suck. The are the most blatantly anti consumer company in the world. They "defend" their IP by taking delight in absolutely destroying their targets. Gary Bowser was certainly in the wrong, but he doesn't deserve to have his life destroyed or for Nintendo to sue for infinity dollars. They played the bully with Valve and took down Dolphin. They also took down Citra just to be a$$holes. The truth is, in this country, the ones with the deepest pockets makes the laws. So no matter what our lawmakers say about the legality of emulators as long as Nintendo can show you the crime (as in the old saying, "show me the man and I'll show you the crime) then they make the laws. I'm sick of Nintendo and I'm not giving them anymore money.

At least it would enable a more accessible while still having fun experience at the same time. Regarding Tekken, I think if there is any fighting game franchise that deserves a classics collection of games of its own, it would be Soulcalibur. If the Switch 2 is also Tegra based (rumored specs), it's very possible for someone to take a fork of Ryujinx and update it to make it work. Current gen emulation isn't possible unless the hardware gap is small, we're only just now getting PS4/Bloodborne emulation with ShadPS4. So we'll see, I think it will happen though if the Switch 2 isn't a big hardware upgrade over the 1.

They could do the same with Nintendo if they really wanted to, but they don't and focus on others things more paramount than Nintendo. This just goes to show that Nintendo, to us in America, "They don't really care about us". And Nintendo fans don't see or notice it sadly, while emulation people on the internet do.
