Clint is afraid of Kingpin because he can hurt the only things he actually cares about... namely his family. Clint doesn't really care about himself. in fact, I think he deeply hates himself. The only thing he views as valuable about himself is what he's able to protect. His wife and kids redeem him. Without his family during the Snap, he reverted back to what he actually views of himself in isolation: a horrific monster worthy only of killing. As terrifying as demon dogs and homicidal robots may be, worst case he dies. He, in his mind, put his family beyond those terrifying beings reach. Kingpin is different. While not a fraction as "powerful" in the cosmic sense as a Thanos,, he is significantly more threatening in a terrestrial way: he would be more likely to be able to get to his family. This is what Hawkeye fears more than anything. So it makes sense he'd fear Kingpin most of all, despite facing literal gods and aliens.

The Black Widow post credits scene takes place the morning after Clint and Kate decorate the tree. Eleanor calls Valentina (or Fisk to call Valentina) and puts a hit out on Hawkeye for getting her daughter involved in his fight. Valentina approaches Yelena in Ohio at Nat's grave to go after Ronin/Clint and feeds her the lie about Nat's death. So Yelena must have gone to NY right away pissed off. She can't hurt Kate (mother's orders). The real question is where is her dog Fanny and will she meet Pizzadog?

I noticed Eleanor was cleaning Kate’s wounds differently than Hawkeye had previously advised. Could this be symbolizing Eleanor not actually being best for Kate. That is precisely what that is. It's called "visual storytelling" and Clint, instructing her how to properly dress a wound early in the series displays care and sympathy. And now that you know this information, you are able to pick up the fact that later in the series her mother, ironically, dresses her wound poorly or carelessly. So you as a viewer are supposed to go "Hey... _waitaminute!_ That's not how Hawkeye said to do it!"
@wilsonram393 жыл бұрын
@@TheBlarggle I think another element to this idea. Clint wants to do what'll fix the problem for Kate. (Solve the issues with Ronin, keep people from going after her.) Eleanor wants to "cover up" the problem (pin it on Jack, setup a hit on Clint so he can't involve her daughter more) even if that doesn't help her daughter as much. Now could this be reading into it too much? Yep. But since they already very intentionally made a deal about how a bandaid should be applied, I think it's very intentional.

*You know what I can’t believe that no one has done yet? In the scenes from Echoe’s point of view where she is reading lips there are always ellipses (…) in place of what we are lead to believe are non important filler words. So we’re not getting the whole sentence. I wonder if it would be worth having a deaf person watch and try to read their lips because it’s going to be revealed that key information was left out of those particular subtitles.*

I think the reason for Clint to fear Kingpin is that he will find and kill Clint's family. Thanos, random chitauri, etc are big threats, but are trying to kill him on the battle field verses hunting his loved ones.

Great thought: at least one person got snapped out of reality while doing drugs in a bathroom stall, then gets snapped back into reality and someone else is doing drugs in the same stall. Probably joined in and didn’t realize what happened for a few hours.

Now I'm wondering what the connection between Valentina and Kingpin is... Is she just contracting with him or is he more deeply involved with whatever it is she's running?
@Panthror3 жыл бұрын
Hawkeye might've fought monsters, but those won't go after his family, Kingpin will, so that's probably the reason Clint's more afraid of him.

Anyone else notice at the bottom of the Barton family list in Maya’s apartment it said “Hairdresser: Dumbass”!? I didn’t catch it last week but it was visible in RAWs perfect freeze frame in this vid.

Can't wait for the stinger at the end of next episode; King Pin stumbles into an office, defeated by the Hawk of Eyes. He is ragged, but determined for revenge. We then hear "You disappoint me, Wilson." The camera pans over to a desk where a shadowy figure sits. He stands, and the camera pans up to reveal the true mastermind behind it all, The Corn of Coblin.

Lol, it’s cuz of the way you wrote it that I pronounce the name in my mind with the emphasis on the second syllable: thus, kingPIN, some weird, uppity version of the Big Guy.

During Black Widow, on set we'd jokingly call her Florence Pooh because she'd eat and digest her own food. She demanded that she'd do her own food eating scenes. The spit bucket was never used.

well during Clint's phone call with Laura, they did talk about "The Big Guy" so I'm assuming she and the Kingpin know each other somehow. Also I love the idea of them betraying the Swordsman, since in the comics the Swordsman trained young Clint, hopefully we'll get to see him turn around after being back stabbed to help the good guys and end up training Kate!

Since this episode spent 4 hours lingering on Kate’s first bow, I feel like she’s going to use it to kill her mom in the end. It’s Chekhov’s tiny bow mate.
