in the War Doctor rises, Vecklin feels like she becomes a case of "defrosting the Ice Queen". Over the course of the Case arc, she does change how she views other people. So I saw her role in the Last Son episode as a continuation of it.

I am VIOLENTLY opposed to shipping Time Lords but Susan/Veklin and Narvin/Leela are the exception because they are ADORABLE.
