I was the filmer of the angle showing Billy dive. This was one of my favorite concerts / life experiences. I was 27 at the time. I had permission to videotape, but I had no idea until after the fact, that my footage would be used for the official release. Oh, and Johnny Z paid me a total of $0.00 but that's okay, being a part of this legendary show was my real reward.

I was at this show.....Billy landed about 5-10 feet away from me. I couldnt move and my arms were pinned to my sides because the crowd was pushing so hard. All I could do was watch as he came flying down into the crowd. He's a big dude. That had to hurt.

This is everything that is thrash, punk and hardcore. I know there are insane live performances out there with crowds stretching till the horizon and insane mosh pits, but this! This has the core of it: a smaller completely packed venue, the attitude of the band, the guitar stomp, the most epic stage dive of all time, and the whole atmosphere is just something really special. Something unique happened here.

+ babylonthegreat -- thats not true. it is and it isnt. im 48 and i listen to a lot of different music. guitar driven. up tempo. punk influenced...i love SOD...anyway...i still go to a lot of shows...i saw Wavves last winter and the kids were crazy moshing and crowd surfing and stage diving...the band actually demanded it. it was cool...i gave up on that tho a long time ago. i used to love pits....when i was 33 at a dropkick murphys show i got kicked in the head in the pit. i was standing up...it must of been bruce lee or something.... i said fuck this...im too old....ill stand at the back and chill.

THAT TONE !!!!! when this album came out in 85 it was the Heaviest thing known to man , and in 2022 it still is !! Megaforce Records believed that SOD could be the next Metallica at the time and wanted them to go full time with the band , I think it's cooler it was just a joke side band that CRUSHED.

Actually it was the newer Ritz when they were in the old infamous Studio 54 disco. I've been to many dope shows in that spot including this one. All these years later I still remember how packed that show was if you was on the floor you couldn't avoid the pit and it was like that all nite from the opening riffs of Morbid Angels "Fall from grace" to what S.O.D. did and you can't forget Agnostic Front killing shit as usual.

So glad I lived through these times - I think we will never get new music like this again - so raw, so original, S.O.D. were true Thrash pioneers, and nothing measures up to this album. Scott Ian is a master of Riffs, and a legend.

I love this so much as I'm sure most people making comments on here had this album in their lives back in the day with head bangers ball and such. Such a classic. Might be the first drop d song I've ever learned. I'm surprised the people he landed on didn't die. Lol
