MrTieDye's Discharged Ribbon and Heart with Spider Design Tee

So, this is another of my Inspired Videos ... I have Scott G. on IG ask about doing a Ribbon tee, but combining it with the Spider Design. As I thought about it, this process came to me, so I described it to him in a message, but then I knew I need to create a video as well. So, here is how I started with a Black Cotton tee, Tied a Ribbon on the front, a Heart on the back, some sleeve and bottom hem details, and then Discharge it, then rinse and Tie the Spider Design and then Dye it. Hi Mr.Tie Dye! I often have a lot of anxiety when trying new things, I've had my tie dye kit and some clothes for months now and was always too scared to mess it up. I love this, each cancer actually has a different color to represent it, you should do some in each color. I'm definitely going to try this with the color for cervical cancer which took my mother in love and I am a survivor of.

Proud to be a Rainbow Warrior! I have been learning from you for over a year… I took a tie dye break for a few decades!!! I actually learned back in 1991 from a few dead head guys that were sure to let me know that I was “special “ ( even though I was following Jethro Tull around instead of the Dead 🎶 😂) ( both great bands!) and that I understood that where we bought the dyes from (Veteran Dharma customer from waaaay back here! 😁😜), was a huge SECRET!! Tee hee! Thank you for your generosity of knowledge and you really are quite lovely to listen to just in the background even sometimes! I love this design, it's so creative and you do such a beautiful job. I've learned alot from your videos in the last couple years. I have a question. Can you do a Morel Mushroom tie dye??? Or asparagus? Lol. Thanks for all you do.

I have done a mushroom, but not a morel : kzbin.info/www/bejne/rV7Sl4uundtmnrs ... but the process would be the same... fold the tee in half and then draw half of your mushroom or asparagus on and then fold, tie and dye ... and you are welcome ✌🏻

I’m sure you’ve already covered this in multiple vids but how long are the grateful dyes potent after mixing with water?

the Procion Dyes I use are good for 2-3 weeks after mixing them, as long as you do not add soda sh to them... that is how the One Step Kits are and those dyes do not last long ..... so I soak my tees in the soda ash with the Procion dyes..... and they will last much longer if you store them in a fridge after mixing them... I have had some that were mixed 2 months ago and still gave decent colors.... not as good as fresh mixed, but still decent .... I do not dye as much as I used to, but having dyes in the fridge to use when I am in the mood is awesome!!

thank you and I apologize for the beard, it is just a part of me.... you may have difficulties with most of my newer videos .... some of the early one my beard is shorter, or braided ✌🏻🌈🙏
