Well I'm going to call it Mr tie dyes pleated scrunch. What a great design and so easy to do. My favorite is the first one it reminds me of the glitch and the last one is just wild and beautiful. So glad to see your videos again! Thank you so much!

I have given up on liquid dyeing a few years ago for ice dyeing. I hadn’t considered doing this pattern with liquid. Thank you for the inspiration on the “storm radar” Thanks for teaching me so much throughout the years. 😁♥️🌈

Radar is a great idea. You could even go with deep sounding or sonar for shirts with more blues and green.

yes I will play with this design some more with other colors... I think the blues and greens would be great also, BUT, the main thing I discovered was to have a contrasting color in the middle as in this photo... it was the 1st one I made and it turned out the best as well ... so maybe some dark blues and then a bright green in the middle ✌️

you are welcome 🙏 ✌️ .... and do you mean a tee shirt brand to look for?? if so, then no I do not have a video... but with Procion Dyes, look for 100% cotton as these dyes do not work on poly, so a blend will look somewhat faded/muted depending on how much poly is in it... so 100% cotton is best, but for other things like bodies, yoga pants and such... sometimes you cannot find them in 100% cotton... but I have dyed some things that were 80% cotton and 20% lycra for stretch and they came out good ... OH and other natural fibers will dye with procion as well like Bamboo, Hemp, Linen, and Rayon... although rayon is more delicate when wet so be careful tying it up after you soak it ✌️

You are welcome and yes I do most times, BUT, it is not required ... it is a wetting agent so it helps the dyes stay wet for longer period of time which is good as you do not want the tee to dry out while the dyes are bonding or the bonding stops the other thing Urea does is it helps the dyes to dissolve better, which is especially good when mixing blacks or other colors that use more dye powder ✌️

Hey Mr tie dye, I really admire your work and I have a question about dying. After mixing your dyes, how long do you have before the colors begin to weaken?

I have my dyes around at room temp for 2-3 weeks after they are mixed before the colors start to get weak ..... the average room temp here in Oregon is 65-75F ...... I put a piece of duct tape on my bottles so I can write the date I mix them and then at the 2-3 week mark, I will add another scoop of dye and blend again... then I try to make sure I use them up before the 2-3 week mark again. but they will still work after this point, the colors just are not as bright as when they are fresher. BUT, to make your liquid dyes last even longer, you can store them in a mini fridge... I have used some dyes that were mixed 2 months ago and still had decent color ... or if you do not have room for a fridge, maybe store in a small ice chest ✌️

a wolf paw would be the same as the regular paw print, but you have to add in the claws : kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmG6Z5akjsSWjsk ... I have done a Bear Paw print as well using same method, but slightly different drawing of the paw... just have to adapt the drawing and then fold in the same manner

I see you use the kite string a lot And it seems that you have more control with it as opposed to a rubber band because you can tighten it if you want it to be tighter or loosen it if you want it to be looser I have been everywhere including a local craft store near me and no one in my area sells kite string is there another type of string that I could use?

Kite string at the hardware store or you can use embroidery string, but you can’t pull as hard but still works well.

I used to buy Kite string from Ace Hardware ... and now and then when I ran out, I bought some Embroidery String from JoAnns (it worked great, but it was cotton so not as strong as the Kite String, BUT, one great thing was to have rainbow strings when I was done dyeing... I cut them off and set them to dry... now I use them as book marks) But, now I buy my Kite String from Dharma : www.dharmatrading.com/tools/poly-tie-dye-string-1000ft.html it used to be on the JamminOn site as well, but I did not see it there now I have also used Dental Floss to tie with, I just bought the cheapest stuff in the latest spools and it worked good as well ... I just recommend finding what works best for you to hold your tee together after you twist it so you can dye it... some people prefer rubber bands ... I used them for many years myself... I hope this helps in your search ✌️

BUT, you can send me a photo on either FB or IG ... or you can message me through my store and when I reply back, then you can send a photo... here is a list of links to my various social media and my store : launchlinks.io/u/MrTieDye BUT, from what you describe, this video might be of help : kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGaknWWLi8mlaMU fold the tee in 1/2, then draw on the oval shape you want and pleat it ... then when dyeing, if you want solid lines, dye the spaces the same on the top and bottom of the tee ... ... meaning when it is tied up, you can mark out lines with washable markers, or just where you place rubber bands at... space them 2 inches apart and the oval lines on the tee will be 2 inches wide ... so dye each of the sections in the colors you want the 'bulls eye' to be, but dye the top of the section and the bottom of the same section in the same colors ... I hope that made sense I dyed mine with the DNA in mind, so it gives this pattern ✌️
