Ace Combat 5 (Emulated) - M05: Rendezvous

Sorry Osea, but piling carriers together that was a terrible idea. But I don't think I need to comment on Osean strategic prowess...
This was the first mission I ran into framerate issues, particularly in wide shots including the bridge - hence why I was in cockpit mode most of the time. The cockpit itself has a few glitching issues on the sides, but meh. I'm more curious as to where they got a reference for the F-4X's cockpit - I'm guessing the German ICE Phantoms. Cool that we get to play with an advanced Phantom, in any case.

The only good thing that came out of each aircraft having only one SP Weapon: They put in a lot of variants, including some that weren't seen before and haven't been seen since this one, such as the F-4X.

As someone who adores the concept of deeply upgraded old airframes, it's such a shame that AC5 and of course ACI (and AH, sorta) are the only games that let them shine. I believe there was a mention of some sort of progress system in AC7, but we'll see.

Some have theorized that the Vulture was refloated and repaired and its the same carrier seen in AC7, since it wasnt named "Vulture II"

It took a years for me to realize the details in this mission🤣. When Chopper said "where the enemy came from?", All the shown enemy planes are carrier-based crafts (Harriers, F-35C). Since Scinfaxi & Hrimfaxi is a big "submarine - carrier hybrid" and could launch a UAV from it, it still possible that they could launch a carrier-based crafts.

The first *real* mission, IMO. God I love Rendezvous. Regrouping isn't too bad (though where is the Fleet's Surface Combatants), I just wish they explained more _why_ they're retreating into the Bannion.

The F-4X is one of my favorite planes in this game. Mostly because I adore the concept. It's just... An F-4E, but good. And with a good SP weapon. I hope they bring this idea back in AC7 (And optimize it a good bit). Oh, and the mission. It's okay. Like the music. The mission itself is just "Kill lots of Harriers and a few F-35s. And then suddenly Scinfaxi burst missiles". Inoffensive.

The way you play indicates that you care to make sure that there'll be no complains on how you fight by using multiple POVs and also trying to satisfy the rest of the audience by mixing between caring for positive responses and negatives to form a balance while also making sure to play with serious concentration and showing off your abilities at dangerous moments which suddenly spikes audience interests ... almost perfection that you rarely find now days X) And the cherry on top is that you try as much as possible on not to skip important dialogues and trying to gain as much attention to the area details as possible using manual camera movement : ) oh and one more thing - i guess the altitude measurement format is different than what's initially intended in the game so you had to use negative reply to compensate for the confusion 😅

You can change the units, and I play on metric, but voice and subtitles in the game won't change. They'll always say "5000 feet".

I really wish that we could get the improve versions of the normal aircrafts in new AC tittles, that was one of the good points of AC5, having to unlock all this variants was really fun, like... having a F-4 that is capable for air to air with nice armament it's nice to see.

So with the Emulation , the Replay doesn’t have the glitchy sticky movements 🤔 Wonder why the ps2 had that problem Even Ace Zero had No Problem , only 5

I never understood this mission. It just doesn’t make sense to move the carrier fleet inland, it defeats the purpose of having a carrier force.

If i remember correctly, the kestrel was the fleet's newest carrier, which is why the yukes wanted to destroy it before it left St hewlett. Plus, Sand Island, being the closest part of Osea to Yuktobania was already attacked just before this, so clearly that airspace isn't safe at the time.

I've seen people theorize that Blaze has a super deep voice, since Chopper sometimes says "Wardog 1, engaging!" in a baritone when you start missions as a fourth wall joke
