great video. I was able to watch you while working in my own 1st Agile MS Project plan. good explanations +demo of key concepts. I played, paused, worked on my own plan, played, paused...repeat.

Help please! I'm working with MS Project and I'm trying to figure out something that I'm not quite sure is possible. For a few tasks I have several different people doing them but in the middle I have another task that they all need to do. I cant put them all on that task without getting an overlap warning but when its time for them all to do that task, they will all stop to work in the other task and then resume what they were doing before when they are done. Is there a way to overlap them?

Thank you for watching the video and for your question. A simple way to solve it is to split the tasks at the time and for the duration of the common task. Select the task Go to task on the ribbon In the schedule group select the icon for split task Click on the gantt bar on the date you want the split and drag the second part to free time for the common task. With this you should solve your point. Let me know if it helps of if you found a different way to do it. Have a great day.

Thank you for watching. When you say more complex example is this relative to Agile or conventional project management?

Dear, Why we use MS Project? What are the main results we get from it? regards.

Hello, Thank you for your question. In which domain do you work? Can you describe your function? Are you a Project Manager, a planner, a scheduler, BA? Looking forward for your answer. Have a great day.

My understanding is that this is available only in MS Project Online desktop client which it appears you are running.
@vision6D5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that comment. Referring to sprints and task boards, Microsoft is changing the situation, my demo was done with the desktop version in beginning of 2019. But you are right those features are not anymore available at the time of this writing in the desktop version. The agile integration is evolving and is unclear to me at that moment. So I'll follow up on this matter.

Hi .. I installed MS Project Pro 2019 but don't see "Agile" option in my ribbon in project section.. How can i enable?
@vision6D5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching the video. What you are looking for is named Sprint in MS project 2019. Within the templates you have a Sprint Project this will enable the Sprint view. You can look at the demo I provide here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/joqoaH6MqbiFeMk Hope this helps you, if not what is your version?

I don't think it is necessary to see you in the video, it is distracting. It would be better to just have the screens up. That would be good enough. Thank you.
