@@XyticProds awesome? My only concern is that the kids club program age limits they have 3-6 and 7-11. I don't want my kids to be separated, neither would they. And I feel like at least my daughter would throw a big enough fit to make it basically impossible if they were to be split up. My Son is 11. My daughter is 6. Will be close to 7 at time of departure. I'm hoping and wondering if they would make an exception. It's a 4 night 5 day cruise and I wouldn't want them to spend much time in the kids club. Maybe 3 hours on 2 separate nights. I just want us to have the opportunity to do one specialty restaurants, go to the adults only infinity pool, go to the Casino one or 2 nights and have "adult time" in the state room once or twice. I'm not sure if there are any other adult only things that I am missing? I want the kids to be with us the vast majority of the time and only spend a few hours in the kids club but I'm just afraid they will throw such a fit about it that they will make it damn near impossible. My other concern is the rain ruining our vacation lol. This is our first cruise. Any advice would be appreciated

We cruised on this ship with a group of friends last January. We book the fantastica experience and we purcahsed the drinking package and wifi. We greatly enjoyed our four days cruise. The best meal was at the Mexican restaurant. The best Margarita was at the bar right across the restaurant, The overnight stay at the Ocean Cay was wonderful, but the light show was cancelled due to technical dificulties. We enjoy our cruise so much that I booked on the next cruise desk for Oct.2025. This time I booked a MSC Yatch Club cabin. We also had booked prior to this cruise a Fantastica balcony for us and a interior cabin for my mom for Oct. 2024. Watching your Seaside video before boarding the Seashore was very helpful in exploring the ship. Thank you again fro sharing your experiences

Great to hear the positive feedback on the Mexican Restaurant. That's the one place we had never really heard anyone talk about eating at, so it's great to hear a positive review! The itineraries that do an overnight on the private island are the best in our opinion, but when you're in the Yacht Club, it really doesn't matter much what the itinerary is because you'll never want to get off the ship 😂 We can't wait to hear about your future cruise experiences!

We sailed on the MSC Seashore back in the 1st week of December 2023. The ship is just beautiful, and the service was outstanding! I posted a KZbin video review of our Aurea Balcony cabin with a whirlpool on my YT Channel. We also had a walk-in closet and a bathtub in the bathroom! We will be sailing again MSC Seashore this coming December! I enjoyed your tour of the MSC Seashore! Love that ship!

We were on this last year as we live in Palm Coast, so close to Port Canaveral. We are going again on the March 30th sailing. We normally book forward, but after watching your vid we are booking mid to aft. By the way your vids are the BEST ship tours I've watched. Your editing must be a lot of work, and looks very professional. Love the little cartoon couple Also our fav entertainment on any ship we've been on is the dueling pianos with the same team that's in your vid. We would eat in the dining, then run for seats at the dueling pianos, then go the shine bar for evening shows.

We hope our video helps you make the most of your time on the Seashore! It's a massive nearly brand new ship and is a completely different experience than sailing on any of the older/smaller ships that can fit under the skyway. As long as you aren't expecting quick service or great traditional American food, I think you'll have a great time!

During your video and other reading I’ve noted the service differences, although the great thing for me is I tend not to require a lot of quick service anyway. Keeps my blood pressure lower. And yeah, Grandeur of the Seas is the oldest ship in the RCI fleet, it shows but I wasn’t there for that. Likewise, after watching your video, I feel like I’ll be cruising on the opposite end of the spectrum from Grandeur. Having had no previous experience, we planned to stay aboard in Cozumel and explore the ship. By the time we got there there were no secrets. The Seashore however, wow!! Thanks for the reply!!

@@nowakezoneforever6021 going from an older RCL to a newer MCS will be quite different! It will take you awhile to fully explore the Seashore 😁 If you go into a MSC cruise knowing the service and food will be little different then I think you will have a great time. Take your time and enjoy it!

Thanks, Rhonda. Yeah, that ship can feel a bit chaotic at times, especially when there are a lot of kids on board. That said, we're getting to know all the ins and outs of these ships by now and are able to avoid the crowds for the most part. We're so happy to hear you booked a cruise! We definitely have plans to sail on Virgin Voyages someday. Once we are confident that the revenue from the videos we make on the ship will at least match the cost of the cruise, we'll be on one!

We honestly we quite worried that our most recent cruise was going to seem pretty terrible in comparison, so we were mentally prepared and were telling ourselves that this one was just a "work trip". But honestly we still enjoyed the cruise much more than we thought we would (even without the drink package). But I think for us, any day that we're not sitting at a desk all day is a good day!

This will be our 1st MSC cruise. What can we expect as surprise charges? We have the drink package. Carnival we had drink packages plus paid tips upfront. We still ended up with a few hundred dollars in charges on my credit when we got back to port

We've never had any charges on our card other than gratuities on our MSC cruises, other than drinks the one time we didn't have the drink package. That said, I'd still check your balance the morning before you leave the ship to make sure you don't have any extra charges on it. You should be able to view all your charges on the stateroom TV. If you do see any charges you don't recognize, try to get it taken care of at the customer service desk.

I have a question regarding food- the buffet is open for breakfast and lunch but not dinner? We will be assigned one of the 4 complimentary restaurants for dinner? Most people choose to dine in the main dining room for dinner, but sometimes when we aren't in the mood for the whole sit-down hour plus dining experience we do eat at the buffet. It is rarely busy for dinner and often times you can find some of the same items that they serve in the main dining room!

I heard there was free soft serve ice cream at venchi around the side that no one really knows. True or not true? Also do we have to do something to connect our credit card? I heard people say something about issues getting off because they did not do something. What do we have to do? We sail in June.

Now that you say that, I think we may have heard something about that as well, but I don't think we ever actually went around the side to look for it. I (Jamie) was able to consistently get soft service ice cream in the main buffet though. There was always a line for it, and it was always good!

Regarding the drinks package, it's important to recall whether taxes are charged on beverages when the ship is docked at an island for the day. If you opt for a drink, try to remember if there's an additional tax applied or something similar. or its only when you leave the first day of the trip ? thank you.. :)

If you've done your research I wouldn't be. MSC has it's fair share of both pros and cons, but if you know what to expect and try to focus on enjoying the things they do well, you should have a great time!

A lot of reviewers mention that MSC has a more European feel and to be prepared for that. However, they don't actually explain what that means... is it the cuisine, the architecture, the service? Do you have any insight?

Lots of the bars/restaurants have Italian names. The ship has more Italian than a typical cruise and does Italian food/pizza/breads better than any other cruise ship. Some of the ship designs are definitely European inspired. They also have more and better coffee than other cruise ships. Service tends to be a bit on the slower side. Those are the main ways we've found MSC to feel more European.

Very comprehensive review. I tend to review ships more for the quality and service etc. I use to work in corporate and on the ships for a major cruise line for over 10 years , and have been on some 14 cruise lines, I generally find msc food quality below industry standards, their service not as good partly because of the large number of foreign ( common to all ships) staff that isn’t as knowledged or as fluent in English. The ships are beautiful but the buffets tend to be chaotic with difficulty finding tables, often not cleaned promptly enough repetitive food and poor quality for the most part. Staff and officers are not as sociable and don’t interact with guests such as on princess for example. I could go on but generally for the price which is the main reason many Americans choose them they give you a lot for the bang just not at the same level as other cruise lines do for higher prices. Still they have enough activities in general and some unique activities to do and for the most part provide a decent although not refined cruise experience.

I think a lot of people feel that way with these massive ships, and understandably so! That's a big part of the reason why we make these tour videos... to help people know there way around a little bit before they ever step foot on the ship!

MSC took our money and ran. Bought the Wi-Fi package and got told soon as we got on board we wouldn’t have Wi-Fi.. I asked for a refund of just the Wi-Fi part as we had to keep buying Wi-Fi during the cruise and they said “nope”, lot of the pools were closed, food was horrible(got food poisoning), no night life. That was just some of the problems..

We definitely understand that it's not for everyone Doug. We recently went on a similarly priced Carnival cruise. The Carnival ship was much older, smaller, and there were a LOT of things we missed about sailing on one of the newer MSC ships. That said, the service was great compared to our MSC cruises, and we loved the made to order tacos and burgers and the variety of live music available around the ship. It just reminds us that every cruise line/ship has their pros and cons, and which cruise line is better all depends on where your priorities lie!

Sorry but I just got off the seashore I can’t disagree more. My happiest day was when we got on and when we got off. So basically it was my first and last time on MSc. The closet is small, there is no self service laundry facilities. The MSC for Me app sucks. Web check in needs redesign. The bar service was slow. The buffet was the same every day. Plus whose idea was it to put Guest Services where the main Atrium is located it was so loud you had to yell at the rep.

Sorry to hear about your experience Roger. We do agree that the app leaves a bit to be desired, and that the location of the guest service desk does present from challenges. We also have experienced better bar service on other cruise lines. That said, when the price is considered, we found this to be one of the best value ships we've ever sailed on and would absolutely sail on it again. We are curious to hear which cruise line and ships you enjoy most though, as we do plan on booking a few more cruises in 2024.

I have cruised Princess, Carnival, NCL, Holland America, Cunard QM2. For me and my wife Princess Cruise out shines them all. The medallion that they have now works great. I like the Hi Roger whenever I walk up to the bar or any of the dinning rooms, and it will unlock your cabin door when you walk up to it. The check in procedure is easy and does a whole lot more. It took me several tries to get my security picture taken only to have them take it again at the port. Look I understand that people want value for their dollars. I get it, but for me I feel like I wasted 3 grand. Here one more thing my son and his family joined us on the cruise. No one told him that when you attached your CC to the kids Cruise card that you need to set a limit for their spending and you only do that at Guest Services. His final bill for a 7 day cruise came to 1800.00.

I think we might be done cruising with MSC if we had that experience as well... putting a limit on the kids card is a really good tip that we'll be sure to share with those sailing with kids on MSC. And thanks for sharing about your cruise experience with Princess. We've sailed Celebrity a few times (which we hear is on par with Princess) and loved it, but have been itching to sail on Princess for a while now. We're definitely even more motivated to finally get on a Princess ship after hearing about that medallion. It sounds wonderful.

The worst cruise line. Went back in November and for sure no selecting MSC ever again. The service was bad at the main dining, the shows were boring (we walked out on 2 of them), they ran out of the beer or soda of your preference and the food by the end of the cruise was recycled. Ice cream time from 4pm to 6pm limitation that made lines long. The only good thing is the pizza, the Mexican restaurant at an additional cost and the room staff. If you want to waste your money go ahead.

Yeah, if slower service and bad shows will ruin a cruise for you, MSC probably isn't your cruise line. We've been on 5 MSC cruises now and have really gotten a good feel for their strengths and weaknesses. We've found that when you have the right expectations and stick to the things they do well, MSC offers really good value for the money. That said, we don't cruise for the shows, and we can deal with slow service when it means saving a few hundred bucks on a cruise.
