Make it your "thing." I love this. It's so hard having to explain yourself over and over again when people ask why you aren't spending money on certain items or experiences--beat em to the punch and say it loud and proud :)

Awesome video. This is needed when your debt payoff is long like ours. We are six years into baby step 2 and will be debt free in 2018. These tips are great.

Probably a bit vulgar, but I have the MAD money as “Fun + Bullshit”. Seriously keeps us afloat. We spend maybe $40 a week on it and it has allowed us to stay on track!!

I wish I had more people to say it loud and proud to! I have my husband (not as into it as I am) and my brother, and that's it. My friends are financial messes with no interest in changing their ways. Sure, they'd like to have more money in their pockets, they're just not interested in doing the work/making the sacrifices to make it happen. So I cheer myself on! I like to comment on places such as this, but i never join the discussions on Facebook as I am pretty sure that then shows up in my feed. I have no interest in announcing to my entire circle how much extra we're paying on the mortgage each month or what level our emergency fund is at.

K H-C If you're in a closed or private group then it won't show to anyone. In peoples' 'suggested' groups if that particular group shows up then they'll see if any of their friends are in it, but that's it. I occasionally check the members in any groups I'm in (as if your friends are in the group or join at any time, then they'll appear first in the list of members. There's also the option to be alerted if any friends join). Hope that helps. :)

Great tips! "Make it your thing" love that!! I too love Dave's rants 😄 he's has no filter, lol. Re-taking FPU just for the interaction with like minded ppl is a really good idea...you gotta find your tribe. Tfs 💚 I personally enjoy reading/listening to podcast & youtube vids from others on this journey to Financial Freedom, keeps me motivated.

Great video! Keeping your goals in mind is important. I also want to get out of debt so I can have more freedom in life. I want to be free to follow the Lord wherever he wants me. I also want to have more peace of mind, cause debt causes a lot of stress and anxiety.

I don’t particularly like Dave Ramsey but I do have a financial “church” that I “go” to. So I like to watch videos like yours. Reading books on finance and frugality help me do that. I also enjoy frugal vegan cooking videos, cheap crafting, zero waste, etc. I’ve tried to talk to other people about this stuff but they don’t seem to like it as much as I do. So now I only talk to people who I know are interested.

Love the picture of Dave Ramsey in the back. I remember one women who did a debt free scream joking to her children that Dave Ramsey was her "boyfriend." They teased her because she spoke about him so much. Great video!

Excellent suggestions!! Always love your vlogs. For me - I love shopping - not so much in busy malls / stores, but the act of looking for good deals etc. I used to shop for unnecessary things but now that we are paying off debt - I turn that to finding deals on grocery items, or even “shopping” around Netflix - looking for new shows / movies to watch for our date nites, or looking for new, free, apps for my kids to play. I also “shop” for fun, free/budget friendly activities for our kids to do.

Netflix and Nope - anything entertainment like that I have to subscribe to is in the no way zone. Free tv and youtube (Dave Ramsey rants are a must imho! :)), library books and library magazines cost nothing.

I am struggling a little. I paid off all credit card debt this year - and a lot of that was unexpected medical/dental bills. In fact, I couldn't pay all my monthly bills until several months ago. I have sinking funds for known expenses like auto insurance and birthdays, but nothing going towards things like a$5000 deductible for health insurance. Do I slowly build that up or focus on paying down my next debt in the debt snowball (student loans). Thanks.

You mentioned being able to take the class again for free if you've already paid for it once could you please explain or walk me through that process. I was working David Ramsey program before my car accident 11/2/19, where I end up with a TBI and it is hard to get restarted. Special because my memory and thinking aren't what they use to be. My email is camp_girl_20@hotmail.com thank you for any help in this matter it is greatly appreciated.
