Hey guys, check out the latest free add-on from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The ORBIS flying hospital is an MD-10 that travels all over the world helping those in need with eye care. This download is a virtual tour of the aircraft, highly detailed and very educational.
In this video I tried to show you where and how to download this add-on, the controls to move around, and also a tour of the aircraft.

if i could fly the plane, i would bought the game just becuse of that. DC10 is my favorite plane and i was disappointed that i cant fly the plane

Many people were, but I do see some DC10 projects in the works, I could be wrong but I I think we will see a fully flyable model soon. When that happens I'm sure someone will the eye hospital with the working model like they did the a320nx. The flying hospital is a full model of an aircraft.. it just can't fly because at the time of release they didn't have a working DC10 cockpit. Just keep the faith 🤞🤞

Wow this is absolutely awesome! I know it’s not a flying version, but would be awesome if you could also get non-flying walk through add-ons of classic airliners too like the Boeing 747-100 with spiral staircase and upper deck lounge in classic 1970s decor, and the Boeing 747 SP, Boeing 707 and L1011 Tristar with lower deck galley. Could even have it so you can climb into the cargo hold and classic avionics bay under the cabin of the 747. Great stuff.

Agree! I know this is just a walk through but it's just amazing to see how aviation has changed the world! From travel, to air hospitals to air fighters, to rescue.... this eye hospital is so unique! A modified aircraft capable of providing vision care all over the world, self sufficient and capable of teaching others. I hope they make more like this

🤞 hope it will fly in the future 🙏 they just need to make a good cockpit for it. Right now they released it because of the partnership. It's free and better then nothing right now

I took the cheat way, and simply plugged in my XBox Controller, because I had one. :-) But thank you. I didn't even know how to access the plane. In the hanger, under profile, so thanks. Which they made it clearer.

I have it but can`t fly it. Have Xbox X moving around on the inside is hold LB and use L stick. But still can`t use it.

Hi there. I got the Orbis all downloaded. When I select an airport for departure and for arrival etc... The yellow tag that appears, (fly) Is never highlighted! So I cannot actually start flying. Anyone knows why is this happening. Could someone help. Thanks

Yes that is correct, this aircraft was created in partnership with ORBIS as a virtual tour of the eye hospital but not a fully functional aircraft to fly. The problem is when they modeled the aircraft they do not have a working and modeled cockpit to go with it. At this moment you can only experience the tour no flying. In the future once they have a working cockpit for the model hopefully we will be able to fly with it 🤞

You can't fly this plane. It is only meant for viewing the interior medical part of it.

So this MD-10 is not a flyable aircraft. Microsoft created this to give users the experience of what the eye hospital looks like on the inside. Right now its just a virtual tour of the interior and you can only view it in the hanger. At a later point, maybe through and update, they might add a workijg cockpit and then it might become flyable. This was created for a Partnership series with ORBIS and for a free add-on its well done. Let's wait and see what happens in the future. The next best thing is I do see this ORBIS livery for other aircraft like the a320 available to download (not realistic but its free and available), and I have seen people in the sim flying a MOD ORBIS MD-11, but its labeled as a a320, so my guess its a mod the takes the a320 cockpit and changes the exterior model to the MD-11 so it looks like it (again not realistic but it's out there). Hope that helps

@Rachel O believe me, we all feel the same, it's a nice free add-on but it would be great if we could fly it. The problem is they don't have a proper cockpit model for it so it's can't fly right now. I'm hoping in the future they have the option 🙏

It's a MD10, not a MD11, it should be blatantly obvious just by looking at it, especially if you have 'aviation' in your own username.
