These videos are brilliant. A good length to give all the info without being too long. Keep up the good work my friend!

Mate, I had fun :) Your tutorials are very useful, interesnting and fun to watch and learn ;) Boeing next? :)
@RockYourWingsКүн бұрын
Sure Boeing is planned,. We first need to explain what is modern navigation (Enroute SID STAR) before using it. Next 4 videos will be a bit boring and brain consuming, but it's a necessary path before getting our hands on the 737. Stay tuned and thanks for the support

Great videos! Caravan or Vision Jet would be nice next. Concorde, once it's in the game from 2020.
@RockYourWingsКүн бұрын
Thanks, Vision jet is planed to for the G3000 series. Concorde is in my heart, I think I'll start learning it, it could be useful in the futur.

I know there are a lot of videos out there, but i like flying the VJ

Thanks for the tip, sure it would be nice to create a G3000 series with the Vision Jet. Bonus it would also work for the TBM 930 as they share the same avionics. Added to my todo list.

The auto throttle does work.
@adiedri383 күн бұрын
I've stopped using it. It seems to search for the speed (the plane seems to move backwards and forwards). But i don't mind, like flying this plane and the PC-12

I've never seen TOD only XTOC. Am i missing it? Also when i add an extra line for a way point and sync the route it never follows it. It will show on my flight plan but the plane wont follow the purple line i created?
@RockYourWingsКүн бұрын
For the plane not following magenta line, you could try to "direct to" the waypoint then enabling the "NAV" button on the autopilot. Might help. For TOD is depends on too much factors, maybe you already passed it or your VNAV is not properly set (constraints missing, arrival airport at cruise altitude, etc...).

When is the correct time to press the approach button? Before the final? When going visual or Rnav sometimes if you press the button it does not engage the APR.

I think the best moment is when you see the diamond.

In the futur I'll start a Navigation series explaining dead reckoning, NDB, VOR, and then ILS will be explained. It would probably help. Long story short, be sure your NAV1 frequency is correct, approach lower than the glide, get your aircraft about 10 miles out with a converging heading of +/- 30 degrees angle from the runway axis.
@fabioposser23 күн бұрын
@RockYourWings ok, but when is the aircraft going only visual approach straight with GPS? Looking forward to your tutorial. Thank you!
@RockYourWings3 күн бұрын
If the airfield is not ILS equipped, or does not have a RNAV specific approach path, then I guess the descent path is calculated by the onboard computer, but it would be very imprecise and not considered an approach. In that case you won't need to click the APR button because it would be part of the VNAV path, not approach path.

@RockYourWings thank you, this make sense now.

Make 208b caravan. Especially reverse throttle.
@RockYourWingsКүн бұрын
G1000 and G3000 series are planned. How can we help you with the reverse throttle on the Caravan ?

Would be good to understand the performance parameters of the plane, and more crucially where the hell are the deicing buttons hidden?! 😂
@RockYourWings3 күн бұрын
I think the de-icing stuff is on the overhead panel, but I might be wrong. For the performance of the aircraft, I still have to learn on the Pilatus (pretty new to me) before commiting to something. EDIT: I found it, it's the IPS button bottom left of the central console. It seems the PC-24 is deiced with bleed air (button just above) and heated windshield.
