Just in case it helps, you can use your keyboard to enter values rather than using the TCM (or whatever it is called) keypad. If you click on the Ground plane in the Flight Plan panel, just to the right of the Fuel/Weight tab there is a small keyboard icon. Click this, then if you click on a field you can use your keyboard to enter the values. Saves keep moving your view up and down between the MFD2 and the TCM. I am really liking this channel... the videos are really good - clearly explained and useful plus the name is brilliant!.

Great video, clear talk, very professional, thank you very much!!! Keep creating!! On my final (and yours as well in the video), my Auto Throttle is in an up/down iteration, correcting itself in a continuous loop. It's not gusts or anything from the weather, it's just looping itself. It was my first flight, don't know if it will repeat. In any case, great plane, I do hope more dev care will be put into it! 🙂

@@vShannon yea it’s interesting how this A/T is modeled. Carenado/Asobo did a decent job with the exterior and interior modeling but systems simulation could use some work. Now like you said, let’s hope they start patching it up and we’re not waiting till next year for the fix! Thank you for the kind words.

Fantastic video. Thank you for all the details. This is not the stock PC-12 from MSFS 2024 right? Which version is this? The checklist does not work on my stock version and neither does the oxygen.
@thatflightsimchannel2 күн бұрын
Yes, this is the default PC-12. The oxygen has been an ongoing issue for a lot of simmers--especially in the career mode. We're working to figure something out or, hopefully Asobo gives us a fix. Thank you for the feedback! It's also odd that you can't use the built-in checklist. On the PC-24 Jet, it hasn't been implemented but I found it on the PC-12. You should still be able to follow along with your EFB and find the aircraft checklist there.

Great video, once again picked up some great tips. I noticed that there does not seem to be any information about the distance and time to TOD or perhaps I missed it? Couple of things you may have found already but there are some buttons behind the pilots seat more or less in line with the pilots left arm. They are quite difficult to see unless you look down from above. The buttons include things like Cabin Emergency Lights, Cockpit Lamp Test, CVR TEST/Erase whatever that is.... plus a few other buttons. I also found you could make the flight plan fill the whole window to the left of the MFD map. If you go to the keypad...is it called a TCM or something? Anyway, click on the second button down on the left called DU & CCD. Select Lower MFD (there is a bug here where the upper and lower MFD names have been reversed). Then every time you click on the Page icon it toggles the flight plan to full size next to the map. Similarly, you can select the Upper MFD then press PAGE and a menu pops up with a few options on it including Settings. Just one point here, I tried the above in the PC24 and have presumed they will work in the PC12 as well as they share the same avionics. At least you know they are available in the PC24 should go flying in that 😂 Thanks for taking the time to make the video.

@@Steve-PT no, thank YOU for the additional info! We’re pinning your comment because this is all very useful information for ourselves and our community. This is why we love doing these videos because we can all learn together! Also, you’re correct. I didn’t notice any ETE or ETA for the TOD. But I’ll look into it to see if I missed something on my FMS setup

@@thatflightsimchannel Just noticed that the Upper and Lower MFD buttons are wrong in that they are reversed. So to get the full Flight Plan you have to select Lower MFD rather than Upper MFD. I have edited the original post just in case someone doesn't read this far 😀

How do you keep this plane from Taxiing too fast? Everytime I taxi with this plane, I'm hitting the taxi speed limit.

@@bonethghar you’ll have to depend on your brakes a lot. Unfortunately we don’t have beta modeled in so the only way is to depend on your wheel brakes as you taxi

Nice video. Using this AC and the 24 in career mode. So, is the O2 issue just limited to career mode? Because over FL185 you get the message that you’re dying because of the lack of oxygen. Again thanks
@thatflightsimchannel3 күн бұрын
Yes, you’ll never get a message or failure of some sort that your pilot is hypoxic in free flight. Some aircraft will let you know if your cabin pressure is not set properly and you’ll have CAS alerts, audible warnings, and so on. I don’t know if any of the default FS2024 planes have this feature though.

@ thanks for the feedback! Let me do some more testing and experimenting with the PC-12 to see if I can get more info on oxygen and pressurization as this seems to be a common issue in career mode. I’ll try and provide an update here or make a video dedicated to it.

Decent for a included plane, given that it's Carenado. Hopefully they'll sort out the AT in TO & Climb, as you demonstrated it's pretty unusable (unreliable) as it doesn't perform as you would expect based on published documentation.

@chrischadwickСағат бұрын
On the Lower Panel where you change the COM and Nav frequencies, there's a button between the COM and Home. Pless that then select Lower (or Upper) MFD (they're the worng way around in the SIM and I can't recall which it is but you'll figure it out). Then click 'Pages' and a menu comes up where you have Avionics as an options. Click on that and you'll see n option to change the pressre units. 👍

Compared to the IRL PC-12, how does the taxi speed of the PC-12 in the simulator behave in idle throttle? I've operated the PC-12 a few times, and I found the taxi speed at idle throttle to be too fast, making it difficult to control. Is this a bug that needs to be fixed in a future update, or is the speed similar to the real aircraft, meaning the operator simply needs to adjust their control techniques accordingly?
@thatflightsimchannel2 күн бұрын
@@flyhigher_tony while I don’t have real world experience flying the PC-12, I did spend about 8 years working as a ramp guy at various airports and I can tell you PC-12s (and other turboprop aircraft) would taxi out rather quickly. Now this can be an incorrect perspective from me but I believe it is normal because of the amount of power these engines produce. Maybe on heavier flights full of fuel and cargo, the idle taxi speeds decrease and require more input to keep rolling. But I don’t think it’s a bug per se.

Carenado didn't model beta in their PC-12 for 2020, they also didn't model it in 2024. Just gotta ride the brakes, unfortunately.

I use the "Prop Low Speed" button normally used in cruise flight to bring engine noise down just a bit. I hit it when I'm taxing and it seems to make the PC12 more manageable at taxi speeds.

How are you able to fly for extended periods of time in the PC-12 without the Oxygen issue appearing? Is this not career mode? Also, how did you get the cargo to appear in the back of your aircraft? When I fly the PC-12 in career cargo there is nothing present in the back. Truly wish they would fix these bugs. Some of these bugs are showstoppers in my opinion and should have been a HOTFIX immediately. Just my thought......
@thatflightsimchannelКүн бұрын
We agree 100% with you! And we don't do career mode. Unfortunately, Capt. Flako and I have tried it and it simply isn't the simming experience we want to continue with. This was a custom route between Orlando to Boca Raton in free flight. So far, we haven't had the annoying issues with oxygen or pressurization like others are mentioning in career mode. The cargo is visible because on the aircraft configure menu, I selected the cargo variant. So nothing special that I did to make it appear full of cargo.
