Suggestion: explain the usage of the Back Course button and how to use the VNAV system. Just found your channel, great job, great explanation.

This channel is going to become huge, I can feel it. The only short, to the point, easy to understand briefings I could find on KZbin. Great work!

Is there a video that just go through all the modes and lists what they do, how they are armed, under what conditions they go from armed to engaged and when they disengage? Like I hear that VNAV will only go down and it will engage at Top-of-descent but it wont go below your minimums. Stuff like that. Having that knowledge in the back of my head would certainly (at least to me) be a good primer for videos like this which show a workflow or a specific way to use the mode.

Your videos are great. Are you a CF-II irl?

Unfortunately, I can't claim that title yet. PPL with instrument working on commercial.

Thanks for this, great. On another matter do you have idea how to get rid of the Red man ERROR message, the red man sits on the front of my aircraft all the time?????
@DizzySloth026 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching. I'm not sure what you mean by the red man. I should have a discord set up and linked to the KZbin account later today. Keep an eye out for that and I can help you better on there.

@@DizzySloth02 The game has a bug when it doesn't load in an asset correctly, it instead loads in a basic model of a character holding a sign that says Error. I think when this happens to your FO/copilot, you can't see anything because there is a big character sitting outside on your prop.

FYI all your frequencies are in the EFB. The EFB has all the charts/frequencies you need. No need to "google" them.

Great advice, i didn't realize that. I'll be sure to put that in my next videos.

Great tutorial, thank you! Quick question: For the VOR, once you’ve set it and you’re ready to head towards it, do you need to do the HDG bug step first to turn towards the VOR? Or can you just skip that step and activate the NAV directly to turn you and get you on track to the VOR?
@DizzySloth024 күн бұрын
You can try to activate NAV first. If nav doesn't react then turn toward it.

Do you have a preference on whether to use GPS or VOR for your navigation?
@DizzySloth025 күн бұрын
I like GPS most of the time because of the flight plan feature but sometimes I play around with VORs. VORs are more work is all.
@iceweasel2199Күн бұрын
So the frequency you set up is that of the VOR and not the LOC ? I havent looked at the charts (im in europe so skyvector doesnt give me charts) but does every chart have a LOC Frequency and a VOR one?
@DizzySloth02Күн бұрын
@@iceweasel2199 It was a VOR frequency. You can sometimes find localizer frequencies on charts but they aren’t used for navigation and instead used for identifying points. Provided gps wasn’t available.

Why is there a Green ROL and a Grey GPS where the Green GPS should BE for me?
@DizzySloth0216 сағат бұрын
@@steff-the-ghoul so ROL is roll which means that the aircraft will start at whatever roll it’s at when that is active. To get the GPS into the active section (green) try and use direct function. Or you click HDG and turn the heading bug to the aircraft flys towards the GPS track that you can see on the MFD
